I was born and raised in Almaty, at the very foot of Trans-Ili Alatau mountains. My father, a geologist, used always to take me along with him to the expeditions and mountain hiking trips, and of course he also taught me to ski. I got to know the life on the road at the age of 7 and I keep falling in love with it again and again. Since then whole my life was in some way connected to traveling around the planet. I used to be a mountaineer and I worked as a rescuer. Actually, mountaineering used to be my biggest passion - I was deeply devoted into it for about ten years. I climbed to Lenin peak (7134m) and got the qualification of a mountain instructor. But to be honest I am more into trekking now - it is less extremal than mountaineering and you still can enjoy stunning views of the mountains around you. Since 2007 I used to work as a mountain guide and a manager of active tourism in various touristic companies. So don't hesitate to contact me if you have Kazakhstan in your vacation wishlist - I'll be extremely happy to make you familiar with the best places of my country!
