We (family of 3) just returned to Abu Dhabi, after 3 great days in Azerbaijan with Elnur.

During the planning of the tour, Elnur made sure he knew, what we wanted to experience, before he suggested an itinerary. When I told him my husband is 2 m high and has a bad back, Elnur said he would bring a driver with a Mercedes Vito. This was awesome!

Original plan was: Friday: early arrival, then drive to Gabala. Saturday: City tour. Sunday: Gobustan and Mud Vulcanos.

The day before arrival Elnur texted me, to let me know the weather forecast for Gabala said rain for Friday, but better on Saturday, so we agreed to swop day 1 and 2 – brilliant service and proactive to make our trip the best – we were so lucky since it was October end, but we still had fine weather all 3 days, because we swopped the 2 days.

As we arrived our driver was ready to take us to the hotel. The Vito was new, clean and had 6 seats in the back for the 3 of us – only thing to notice is, that 3 is rear facing, no problem at all for us, in fact it was great on day 2, that our little one could lie down on the seats and sleep on the way back from Gabala. Also this means the legroom as great.

Later Elnur and driver picked us up for a nice city tour – Elnur is very knowledgeable about his city and eager to share his knowledge, so it was a good start. He also suggested a nice place for lunch.

On day 2 Elnur proved he knew, what he was doing, as he had called ahead to the winery we wanted to visit near Gabala, to make sure we could have a wine tasting. We also stopped by another winery, even though Elnur explained he had not been able to find the number and make a reservation – it turned out the winery was closed for tours, but 5* for effort. (By the way, the wine tasting at Savalan was very good) Also the “picnic” restaurant for lunch was a good/fun choice and very reasonably prices.

Last day was also very well planned, including a shift to an old lada (this was epic) to go off road to the mud vulcanos – these were the highlight of our little ones trip, she had so much fun watching the bubbles! Lunch on our last day was at a buffet restaurant – I know, what you think, but it was sooo good, and fun to see even locals eating there.

All in All: if you’re looking for a tour guide, I’m sure Elnur will give you a great trip!

Elnur was an amazing guide as well as in person. He really gelled with the kids. Though there was a change of plan in one of the tour days due to some technical issues, he was very accommodative to compensate it the next day in another location and even invited us to his friend's wedding in the evening. This was indeed a very personal gesture and we really loved him.

Missing Kasun

We, two families with two young kids went for 4 nights trip to baku, the whole time Elnur was our tour guide. We went to gabala, gobustan and full baku tours with him. Elnur was so energetic and full of knowledge. He was flexible with us. We had adjusted our tour plans and timings during our stay and Elnur was flexible with our plans. He showed us amazing places out of our tour plan also. He used a comfortable vehical for the tour and it was ideal with our two kids. This review is not enough to thank him for the knowledge and support he gave us. Highly recommend for azerbaijan tours.
