Dear all! We are going to do an interesting tour around Baku and visit 4 very unusual places such as:
1. Ateshgah (Fire temple)
2. Gala Open Air museum
3. Elite horse club
3. Yanar dag (Burning hills)
4. Dagustu park (Highland park)
Early in the morning our English speaking driver and tour guide at the same time will pick up you from your address by “ euro 5” standard transport with air conditioning. First you will be taken to the “Fire temple” . During the ride he will tell you interesting stories about city and cite. At the arrival to a pentagonal complex “Temple of fire” in Surakhani,you will see a courtyard surrounded by cells for monks and castle-like religious temple-altar in the middle. Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, temple was used as aHInduand Zoroastrianplace of worship. The name refers to the fact that the site is situated atop a now-exhausted natural gas field, which once caused natural fires to spontaneously burn there as the gas emerged from seven natural surface vents. Today, the fires in the complex are fed by gas piped in from Baku.
After visiting the Fire temple we will head to the Gala open air museum. Sharing the impressions about sightseeing we will get the very old Gala village. There you will see a huge complex with 3 museums in it - open air ethnographic museum, Defensive Castle of 12th century and Museum of art from waste to art .Our guide will help you not to stray in the area. The museum’s area is 1.2 hectares. There are ancient dwellings ,stone and clay houses, movable tents made of animal skins, old bakery, market, pottery and other interesting medieval buildings. All this you can see, touch ,take photos even try to bake bread in the oven rough, smear yourself with clay or to feed the camels, horses and donkeys, peacefully resting in the stalls. After the museum seeing we will have a picnic which is made especially for you. Tasty Homemade sandwiches, chilling soft drinks and for finishing herbs tea and sweets is all yours…
After the picnic we will continue our journey .The next destination after Gala museum is “Burning hills”. Enjoying the interesting passage from highway to village roads and from village around oil derricks we will arrive the fascinating place in Mahammadi village, where the hill has been burning non stop for 16 CENTURIES!!! Natural gases comes out a hill set on fire...It has especially great view during the night time.
The last place of visit will be Heydar mosque- the largest mosque in Caucasus. A short excursion through the graceful mosque will discover the beauty and greatness of eastern art for you .
After exploring the territories, taking the pictures, we’ll head back to the city. The whole trip will take 6 hours and you’ll every moment of it for sure. At the end our tour guide will drop you to where we started or where you wish inside of the Baku city.
