HomeStay Experience 9 Days 8 Nights

Uzbekistan homestays offer a unique environment to immerse yourself in local culture and languages. Homestay accommodation enables you to take time out and relax in a family environment with a home stay family. Typical homestays provide meals, accommodation and many hosts will entertain you during your stay.
A homestay would best fit an individual or perhaps a couple – occasionally a family. If you prefer to get to know the locals, this maybe the option for you.

Itinerary:

Day-1  Departure  Moscow- Samrkand                                             

2019/ Aerflot flight  su 1874 airbus A330 Moscow –Samarkand 22:55 - 05:05+1

Arrive in Samarkand. Meet by driver and transfer to homestay accommodation and check in. After you arrive you’ll be met by home owner. In the evening provides a local meal.

Day-2 Samarkand                                              

In the morning take time out and relax in a family environment with a home stay family.  In the afternoon you can wander around old city. Later drive to Jomboy village where you will get acquainted with local customs and tradition. You will have opportunity to taste local meals cooked by host family and enjoy local atmosphere. 
You will take part in baking process of Patir (local bread) in tandoor (clay oven used in cooking and baking).

Day-3  Samarkand                                                                      

After breakfast we will get back to Samarkand and star sightseeing by visiting spectacular Registan square, remains of Bibi-khanum, Siab bazaar, Shakhi-zindah necropolis and visit Guri Amir (Temurlane’s tomb).

Continue to visit Ulughbeg observatory (XV century)  which was the biggest observatory in the world and visit Afrosiab museum and ruins of ancient Samarkand (named Marakanda by Greeks) where Alexander kills his milk brother Cleitus during drunken brawl .

Day-4 Samarkand-Bukhara                                                              

After breakfast drive to the railway station to take fast train to Bukhara. Train departs at 09:35am and arrives at 11:05am. Check in homestay accommodation.

 In the afternoon free time at leisure.

Overnight in Bukhara

Day-5   Bukhara                                                                   

After breakfast start visiting Bukhoro i Sharif- Noble Bukhara which was one of the centres on Great Silk Road. Bukhara has more than 150 historical and architectural monuments, many of them enlisted in UNESCO’s world heritage.

Start sightseeing by visiting central park of Bukhara where Samanids mausoleum located then walk to Chashma i Ayub ( Job’s Spring) mausoleum, Bolo-Khauz mosque, Ark of Bukhara, Kalon mosque and minaret, Miri-Arab madrasah (still active), Ulughbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs.

After lunch continue by visiting Magoki-Attori mosque, Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble and visit Chor Minor madrasah. Continue to visit surroundings of Bukhara, Sitorai Mokhi-Hosa – summer palace of Bukhara Emir, unique monument combining Russian and Oriental architecture and later visit home of master of tandoors in Vobkent village in Bukhara. Continue to Sufi Naqishband mausoleum.

National dance and costume show in Nadir Devon-begi madrasah (optional).

Overnight in Bukhara

Day-6  Khiva – Bukhara                                                          

In the morning depart Bukhara and drive to Khiva  (480 km). The Great Silk Routes once pathed through Bukhara and Khiva ran through the Kyzyl Kum Desert.  Stop en-route to enjoy views of Amu Darya River and the desert. Arrive in Khiva late in the afternoon, check in to the homestay accomodation in Khiva.

 Day-7 Khiva                                                                       

After breakfast spend a day in UNESCO World Heritage site in Ichan-Qala town, visit Kalta minor minaret and madrasah, Kunya Ark, Muhammad Rakhimkhan madrasah, Jome mosque, Abdullakhan Madrasah, Tosh Khovli, Kharem, Islam Khodja minaret and madrasah, Pakhlavon Makhmoud mausoleum and craft centres. . Free time at leisure in the afternoon.

Overnight in Khiva

Day-8  Khiva-Tashkent                                           

After breakfast transfer to airport of Urgench to get flight to Tashkent.  After arrival start sightseeing the capital of Republic of Uzbekistan. One of largest cities of post Soviet Republics. Start visiting old part of Tashkent, Hast Imam complex where you see the world’s oldest Koran of Caliph Uthman. In the complex visit Barak-khan madrasah, Hazrati Imam mosque, Mausoleum of Keffal Shashi, Tilla Sheikh mosque, Muyi Muborak madrasah (library) and Islamic Institute named Imam Bukhari. Later in a day visit one of the biggest bazaars of Central Asia Chorsu, Independent and Amir Temur squares. And short ride on Tashkent Metropolitan.

Day-9 Tashkent   - airport                                                       

In the morning transfers to International airport of Tashkent.
