Iitinerary

 

Day 1 - Capital City "Ulaanbaatar"

Today you arrive in capital city of Mongolia /Ulaanbaatar/. a private guide will meet for transfer to your hotel . Here you will also stay for tonight before your big adventure is about to begin tomorrow.

Day 2 - Amarbayasgalant Monastery

Amarbayasgalant Monastery, whose name means ”monastery of the quiet felicity”, is located near the Selenge River, at the foot of Mount Burenkhan. It’s one of the three largest monasteries of Mongolia. The Manchu emperor Enkh Amgalan Khan built the monastery in the 18th century, in memory of the first Bogd Gegeen, Zanabazar, in order to keep and preserve his mortal remains. The construction began in 1727 and completed in 1737. 1200 langs (= 3730 kilograms or 8223 pounds) of silver coming from the state coffers were used to build this sumptuous monastery.

Day 3 - Uran Togoo

Uran is an extinct volcano in the western side of Uran-Togoo Tulga Uul Natural Monument in Bulgan province, 80 km west of Bulgan town. Uran means “Artistic”, Mongols named it so because its ridge of the crater is one of many examples of circles that arise in nature resembled a nice creature of a craftsman.

 

Day 4,5 - Khuvsgul Lake Ice Festival

 

Day 6 - Terkh Tsagaan Lake

“Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake (Terkh White Lake) is freshwater lake,located near the Khorgo volcano crater in Tariat soum in Arkhangai province. Fresh water and volcanogenic Terkh White Lake is 16 km long from west to east and 6km wide from north to south. Khorgo dormant volcano, Terkhiin Tsagaan river and Khuduu river have been protected as a National Park since 1995. This lake was created as a result of a 4050 cm thick basaltic blockage of Terkhiin River, following the eruption of Khorgo volcano and some other volcanoes.”

Day 7 -Kharkhorum-Tuvkhun Monastery

Tövkhön Monastery was first established in 1648 by the 14-year-old Zanabazar, the first Jebtsundamba Khutuktu and spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhism for the Khalkha in Outer Mongolia.[1] He determined that the location on the Shireet Ulaan Uul mountain overlooking a hill at 2,600 meters above sea-level was an auspicious location. The first physical structures were built upon his return from studying in Tibet in 1653. Zanabazar, who was a gifted sculptor, painter, and musician, used the monastery, originally called Bayasgalant Aglag Oron (Happy Secluded Place), as his personal retreat over the course of 30 years. While there created many of his most famous works. It was also where he developed the soyombo script.

Day 8 – Elsentasarkhai

The Elsen Tasarkhai is a part of the Mongol Els Sand Dunes, that continues 80 km long 5 km wide. The nature in this area is really spectacular and great for relaxing and located in Burd soum in Uvurkhangai Aimag (Province) 280 km west of Ulaanbaatar. The area is surrounded by sand dunes, hills covered with rare bushes and a small forest near a river.34

Day 9 - Back to Ulaanbaatar

Today your trip ends in Ulaanbaatar after unforgettable days in the Mongolia.
