Old fortresses, road from Khiva to Nukus,Uzbekistan, 2d/1n

Day 1

Depart from your hotel in Khiva and go to the first fortress.
On the way stop for a while to have an excursion with the guide about the place.

Tuprak kala. On the way from urgench to Ayaz kala, this is 2000-year-old ruined city fortress and royal religious center, 350 metres by 500 metres, framed by the brooding Sultan Vais Dag mountains, is the best explored in region. The settlement of around 2500 people grew up around the first BC to peak around the third century under Kushan and white Hephalite rule left the region open to devastating Turkic raids, which destroyed irrigation canals and led to the depopulation of the town in the sixth century.

Qoi Qirilgan Qala. Another fascinating skeleton of antique sophistication, the fort of the dead Rams, lies approximately 30 kilometres southeast of topraq qala, best approached from the city of Turt Kul.

Ayaz Qala . A spectacular base for exploring ancient Khoresm, Ayaz kala offers desert fortresses, nomadic yurts, starry campfires, and sweeping views from which to conjure up the fertile past. Telve golden statues were also discovered in the ruins of local ruler Ayaz Khan's residence, built in the 4th to 3rd centuries BC, and removed to Hermitage in St. Petersburg

The camp consists of yurts, real ones in their authentic shape.  It is situated just near the Ayaz Kala, and has the same name as the old fortress. You will be served nice beautiful dinner, breakfast and lunch (each of them consists of several meals as starters, salads(2-3),main course and drinks, beverages will be served separately), entertainments there are an open fire, with a singer and visitors sitting round the fire. If you choose second variant it will be more relaxing and enjoable. The one day trip will take you approximately 5-6 hors driving and can be quite tiring as every sightseeing will take an hour  for excursion.
