You will visit the highlight of the Gobi and the central part’s destinations mostly without any other tourist. The empty, panoramic open steppe with mysterious landscapes makes your mind refreshed. Visiting with local families, you will discover the calmness and hospitality of nomads. Even the tour has 2200 km drive sometimes by Mongolian wild off-road without any road sign, our co-working drivers experienced to drive less bumpy and can find any kind of blurry road in the fog, rainy weather condition.

Our guide one who connects the western and modern culture with traditional nomadic culture is trained from both side’s perspective. Apart from absorbing nature and culture, our tourist Ger camps, food, sanitation keep your amenity standard.

Main attractions: Baga gazariin chuluu, Tsagaan suvraga, Rock painting, Yoliin am, Hongor sand dunes, Bayanzag, Tuvhun temple, Tsenher hot spring, Kharakorum – Erdenezuu, hugnu Khaan mountain, Hustai national park.

Day 1 Baga gazriin chuluu – Rocky mountain

Morning, driver and guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive to Middle Gobi. Just out of Ulaanbaatar, you will see empty open steppe, the folk of horses, sheep, cattle and nomadic families with Gers. On the way, in the middle of nowhere, we will have a picnic lunch. Then we will drive to discover the rocky mountain. There, you will visit a small ruined temple in tiny rock valley. Walking through rocky mountains and visit a small cave. Afternoon, drive to a tourist Ger camp in the empty steppe. There will be no people, any village and any town around the camp. Dinner at the restaurant of the camp. In the fence chairs outside for a chat, or you can walk around. The restroom is clean with a hot shower, you will relax in Mongolian Ger. Road length 260 km

Day 2 Tsagaan suvraga and the Black Gobi - Bronze – Age’s Rock painting

After breakfast, we will drive towards south to Tsagaan suvraga. We will arrive at the lunchtime at the restaurant of camp. Today’s camp reminds you of the silk-road period with its exotic interior in the middle of nowhere. You will be able to see the endless steppe just through a large glass wall of your room. After lunch, we will drive 3 km to Tsagaan suvraga – colourful cliffs. Walk around the cliffs and see the endless steppe from the top of cliffs. You will see camel caravan, nomadic people; kind of serene life of Gobi desert.

Black Gobi desert – Bronze Age’s Rock painting

After a walk through Tsagaan suvraga, we will drive through the black Gobi desert. Somehow this place is like the other planet. The mysterious thing is in this remote desert, nomadic families live with camel and sheep as their ancestors from Bronze-Age. We will walk through black rocks – Gobi desert’s mountain and wander, read the pictures or messages remained us by primitive people. Discover the daily life and culture of human evolution. When it is not so windy, this place is the right atmosphere for being alone. Drive back to camp and have dinner at the camp. Stargazing, chatting around a table or just relaxing are possible activities. Total road length 340 km

 Day 3 Vulture Gorge- Yliin am

Today, after breakfast, we will drive to South Gobi desert. At the Dalanzadgad town, have lunch and drive through Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National park to Yoliin am. When we reach the park, we will visit a small natural museum. The main Gobi’s findings of minerals, the desert animal’s taxidermies, dinosaur fossils, petrified stones are in the museum. Further, we will drive through mountains to the In Yoliin am valley. In the valley, you will walk through a gorge with river stream 2- 3 km. During the walk, pikas on the land and bearded vultures in the sky appears oftentimes. The wild goat drinks water from the stream, which we walk through. Sometimes, in the evening or early in the morning we see ibex. After walking in the park, we will drive to the tourist Ger camp. And have dinner and relax. Day 4 Camel trek, nomadic family and Hongor sand dunes

In the morning, after breakfast, we will drive to the south part of our Gobi’s destination Hongor sand dunes. The road will be fascinating Gobi desert vista, Gobi Guvan Saikhan mountain range locates along with Hongor sand dunes. In the other side, nomadic family’s Ger seen blurry in a Gobi’s mirage. The folk of camels, sheep and goat, horse graze just in wild nature.  Colourful wild flowers, nutritious grass spread the desert, the Gobi desert bursts into life. On the way, we will visit nomadic family. Families used to move by camel caravan, searching for water and grass a number of times a year. As they are nomads they live in as possible as a minimalist way. You will meet with them and find out their calmness and hospitality. If you want to give to kids some pen, balloon or some sweet, they will be glad and curious to see you. Giving a small gift for kids is welcoming in the countryside. Further, we will drive close to get camp and have lunch at a restaurant. Afternoon we will ride a camel in the steppe.

Afternoon or evening, when the bright sun gets down, we will climb to the sand dune. The top of the dune is over 200 meters high and steep. Sand is loose. Your foot will stick to it. It requires little bit of effort to get the top. After challenging yourself on hot day climb up to dune, you will see a brilliant sightseeing. Sand dunes and rocky mountain stay simultaneously in the endless lush steppe. Getting down is easier and fun. Drive back to camp 5-10 min and have a hot shower, and dinner.

Day 5 Flaming Cliff – Bayanzag

Today, after breakfast in the camp, we will drive to Flaming Cliffs toward the north. We will drive through bold black mountains. If you like to walk or climb to a mountain, just walk and have nice pictures from the top. We will drive through barren black mountains, lush steppe, the ground covered by wind-eroded black pebbles. You will enjoy the wilderness of Gobi Desert on the way. When we reach the cliffs, will hike through Flaming Cliffs and see how it changes the colour. Cliff was the homeland of dinosaur during the Jurassic period. From this place, very first time dinosaur’s eggshell was found in the world. Here you will feel completely silence and emptiness with a panorama of mind refreshing red cliffs in the vast flat steppe. Stay in homestay Ger far from the camps and guest houses.

  Day 6 Drive to Ogni-Gobi

In the morning, we will drive to Ongi-Gobi. It is a trans-destination from the Gobi to Green part of Mongolia. We will drive through the flat steppe. And arrive around lunchtime in a camp. Hike and see the ruined Ongi temple from the top of a hill. Evening, time is free. You can hike around Gobi’s river or just wandering around silent little black hills. Relax in the camp.

Day 7 Tuvkhun mountain temple

Today we will drive to Green part to Tuvkhun mountain temple. Meadow green hills, families Ger and animals appear more than the Gobi desert. And more animals like yaks, sheep, goat, and horse. On the way, we will have lunch in a restaurant. The small Buddhist temple located on the top of green Khangai Mountain range. You will see beautiful natural scene from the top. You can hike through forest 5 km, or ride a horse to get the top. After photo and the top scene of nature, we will walk or ride horseback down to the car. And drive to our camp.

 Day 8  Tsenkher hot spring

After breakfast, drive to Tsenher hot spring nearly 2 hours through a mountain. Relax a hot spring after our Gobi desert tour. Stay over in tourist Ger camp.

 Day 9 Karakorum - Erdenezuu monastery and Hugnu Khaan mountain

The morning we will drive to a small village the Karakorum which was an ancient Mongol empire’s capital. We will visit the history museum and the Buddhist monastery Erdene Zuu. After having lunch in a local restaurant we will drive to Hugnu Khaan mountain, little hike through a mountain and relax in the camp.

Day 10 Hustai Park to see Przewalski’s horse

Drive to Hustai Park. To see Przewalski’s horse, the only wild horse left in the world. Since the park has protected nearly 25 years ago, the number of wild animals gathered themselves in the park. Marmots will entertain you all the way. You can hike in the park and see the wild horse.

Day 11 Drive to Ulaanbaatar

Today our 11 days Gobi and Green exploring adventure tour ends. We will drive 2 hours to Ulaanbaatar and transfer you to your accommodation. And from 16:00, Tumen Ekh folk music concert with throat singing.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
