This cultural tour program includes visiting the center of modern capital Bishkek, ruins of ancient city Balasagyn, ancient temples in Karakol and petroglyphs in Cholpon-Ata. You will enjoy fascinating trips to incredibly beautiful Jety-Oguz, Song-Kul, Ala-Archa,Tash-Rabbat, Skazka and Altyn-Arashan where you may swim in healing springs, you will also watch falconry in Bokonbaevo and ride a horse along Song-Kole lake.
Day 1: Bishkek – Issyk-Kul-Karakol (420km)
Arrival to Bishkek (airport), transfer to the hotel. After some rest transfer to Issyk-Kul Lake (260 km). En route visit Burana tower, which marks the original site of the Karakhanid town, Balasagun. Lunch is in Boom gorge. Next stop is at an open air museum of petroglyphs in Cholpon-Ata, where an excursion in open-air art gallery of stone, said to date from 500 BC – 100 AD, will be provided; they depict wolves, long-horned ibex, goats, horses, snow leopards, sacrifices and some hunting scenes. You can swim in the lake.Then continue driving to Karakol. Dinner and overnight in the guest house in Karakol.
Day 2: Karakol-Altyn-Arashan
After having breakfast at 9:00 by car get to start point in Ak-Suu forestry. Driving time about 20-30minutes. Then walk through a beautiful gorge to Altyn-Arashan hot springs. Walking time about 4 to 5hrs with stop for lunch (picnic). Upon on arrival you can stay in a yurt or in room in Altyn-Arashan. Take hot spring, rest. Very beautiful scenery, view to always snow covered Palatka peak 5020m. Dinner and accommodation in a guesthouse.
Day 3: Altyn-Arashan - Ak-Suu - Karakol. After breakfast walk down to Ak-Suu forestry by the same route as 1st day, this time walking is mostly down so about 3hrs. From Forestry by car get to Karakol. After lunch city tour: visiting Prjevalsky museum, Wooden Orthodox Church, Dungan mosque in Chinese style.Dinner and accommodation in a guesthouse.
Day 4: Karakol-Bokonbaevo (150km)
Breakfast, then transfer to Jety-Oguz gorge (40 km), the picturesque gorge, which is famous not only for coniferous forest, flower clearings and interesting gorges for hiking, but also for red and sandy formations which are called «Seven Bulls» and «Broken Heart». After lunch in Jety oguz continue driving to Bokonbaevo. Swimming in the lake.On the way in the afternoon visit to Skazka gorge, fantastic gorge with varicolored sandy formations. One of the best views on the Issyk-Kul Lake is guaranteed. Then drive to Bokonbaevo where you can see eagle hunting. Eagle hunting demonstration. Then yurt show demonstration in Kyzyl Tuu village. Dinner and accommodation in yurt camp.
Day 5: Bokonbaevo-Kochkor-Song-Kol lake. (240km)
Breakfast. Transfer to Kochkor. On arrival at Kochkor you will visit a felt carpet workshop . It’s a place where you can watch the process of making Kyrgyz national felt carpets. After lunch transfer to Song-Kul (120km) lake, enjoy the narure. Dinner and accommodation in yurt camp.
Song-Kol is a remote mountain lake situated on a treeless, high mountain plateau (3016 m) where shepherds bring the livestock in the summertime, establish a camp where they will live – setting up their yurts. In this magnificent place you can see hundreds of herds and a lot of different yurts, where you will certainly be invited to have kymyz, the national drink made of fermented mare's milk with a traditional bread, try other diary products and home made jam.
Day 6: Song-Kul-Tash-Rabbat.
Breakfast. Horse riding along the shore of the lake. After having lunch transfer to Tash-Rabbat via Dolon pass. Upon arrival in Tash-Rabbat excursion to caravanserai. Dinner and accommodation in yurt camp or guesthouse.
Tash Rabat is located in the heart of Tian Shan Mountains. The stone made sight built inside the mountain (3200 m) has no analogue in the world. The building had been used as hotel and shelter for travelers on the Great Silk Road. In total there are 31 rooms in the mountain. The thickness of walls is 1 m. There are also underground prison cells for ancient thieves
Day 7: Tash-Rabbat-Bishkek.
After having breakfast transfer to Bishkek. Lunch on the way. City tour in Bishkek: Osh bazaar, Oak park, Ala-Too central square, Philarmonic hall. Overnight at the hotel or guest house.
Day 8: Trekking to Alarcha
After breakfast in Bishkek transfer to the Ala-Archa National Park (40 km). You will be in the alpine gorge through which the fast flowing Ala-Archa River runs. The gorge is flanked by tall, snow-covered, peaks with steep-sided, forested, mountain slopes. You will start your walk (3,5 km) from the alpine camp (2200 m) to Ak-Sai waterfall–the height is 35 m (2700 m) - by the path which goes through conifer forest and alpine meadows. Return back to the alpine camp. Transfer to Bishkek. Farwell dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 9: Bishkek – airport
Transfer to the airport (30 km). End of the tour.
