One-Day tour in Ala-Archa National Park
Location: south of Bishkek, 40- 50 minutes
Duration of a trip: approximately 4-5 hours
Altitude: 1600 - 4860 m
Level of physical training: medium (need good physical training)
Ala Archa National Park is an alpine national park in the Tian Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan, established in 1976 and located approximately 40 km south of the capital city of Bishkek. “Ala-Archa” National Park translated as “Ala” – motley, “Archa” - shrub covered in the slopes of the local mountains. The national reserve is rich with great mountains, long rivers, pine forests growing on the slopes of the mountains and with various fauna and flora.
We will hike along the pass (to Ak-Say) to see the ponarama of the park. Our point is Broken Heart rock. The distance is about 1.5 km/1 hour to the rock. During the hiking, we will have a nice a picnic by drinking hot tea, enjoying views of the canyon and Ala-Archa river. If the weather conditions will be inappropriate, we can walk along the asphalt road and enjoy the view.
