Armenia 1 day Private Tour Package

One Day Trip to Khor Virap Monastery, Noravank Monastery, Ancient Cave(Birds-Cave), "Hin Areni" wine factory (tour and tasting)

Khor Virap is directly connected with the adoption of Christianity. As a state religion Christianity in Armenia was adopted in 301 due to endeavors of Saint Gregory the Illuminator, who before converting king Trdat the 3rd to Christianity, was imprisoned in the dungeon over which a church of Khor Virap monastery was built in the 17th century. From the monastery one can admire the stunning view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.

The sunny village of Areni  is famous for its best wine assortments. Due to its specific flavor and delicate taste "Areni" wine has its respectful place among the best Armenian wines. The visit to the wine factory of the village will serve a good testimony to the above mentioned.

Noravank   a 13th  century Armenian monastery, located 122km from Yerevan in a narrow gorge made by Amaghu river, near the city of  Yeghegnadzor, Armenia. The gorge is known for its tall, sheer, brick-red cliffs, directly across from the monastery. The monastery is best known for its two-storey Surp Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) church.

Tatev Monastery is a unique masterpiece of Armenian architecture, built in the 9th century. This monastery was one of the oldest spiritual centers of medieval Armenia, as well as the biggest university of its time. Due to the construction of «Wings of Tatev», the longest cable way in the world (5,7 km), the complex has become one the most visited places in Armenia. Through the efforts of the «Tatev Revival» foundation the travel route, stretching to the South of the country, turned to the most active and demanded direction not only within locals, but for tourists as well. In monastic complex Tatev we will see powerful fortresses, rising up above steep cliffs, ancient oil press with millstones, the pendulous pillar (gavazan, a unique medieval structure), crypt of Grigor Tatevatsi, the last saint of Armenian church, ancient frescos by European masters.
