Day 1: WELCOME TO DUSHANBE, TAJIKISTAN (800m)


Arrive in Dushanbe early morning. In airport you will be met by your guide and transferred to the hotel and you will be free to relax in the hotel until lunch time. Lunch is at 12:00 in national restaurant. After the lunch we will discover the best of the Tajik capital’s top attractions with a guide on this half-day trip. Immerse in the culture and architecture of the city as you travel along the Rudaki Avenue starting with a visit to the National Archaeological Museum of Tajikistan, known for the famous Buddha statue in nirvana (14m) toward Kohi Navruz. During the tour you also visit Ismail Somoni Statue (founder of the Samanid dynasty) and walk through Rudaki Park, where a lot of varieties of wonderful flowers bloom from season to season. Our tour will finish in Mehrgon Bazaar - a great place to gain a sense of local life

DAY 2: TREKKING TO SHIRKENT VALLEY (DINOSAURS FOOTPRINTS), VISIT THE HISSAR FORTRESS & COME BACK TO DUSHANBE (70+90km (4hrs) + 4hrs trek)


We start our drive early in the morning (07:00) after breakfast to Shirkent valley, because we have long adventure ahead – trekking to Dinosaurs Footprints, which was printed on the rocky wall 130-150 million years ago. Shirkent Valley has been established a Nature Reserve in 1991, followed by the discovery of rare three sites of dinosaur footprints containing more than 400 trails. The length of the footprints is 0.5m on average, the width up to 30cm, and the step length about 75cm. Since there are no footprints known elsewhere like those in Shirkent. Lunch will be during the trek. After the lunch we will drive to explore Hissar Fortress and return back to Dushanbe.

Day 3: TRANSFER TO FANN MOUNTAINS. FIRST NIGHT IN TENTS (130km + 65km, 6hrs, 2195m/2800m)


In the morning after breakfast at the hotel we leave Dushanbe for Fann Mountains via the Istiqlol Tunnel (2741m). The tunnel is about 5,040m long, located 80 km northwest of Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe and connects the Tajik capital to the country's second largest city, Khujand, which is blocked for 5-6 month a year due to snow in the Anzob Pass. The road travels through dramatic scenery and mountain passes. On the way, first we visit Iskanderkul Lake. According to histories, the lake takes its name from ALEXANDER THE GREAT. It is located at an altitude of 2,195m on the northern slopes of the Hissar Range in the Fann Mountains and is one of the most popular sights of Tajikistan. It is impossible to imagine a trip to Tajikistan without paying a visit to Iskanderkul Lake. It is as if being in Paris but not seeing Eiffel Tower. After arrival to Iskanderkul Lake we start our hike to Snake Lake and “Fann Niagara” waterfall. More than one kilometer below there is a beautiful and powerful waterfall falling 43 meters down a canyon. Lunch will be near the lake at 12:30. At 14:30 we leave Iskanderkul Lake to Alovuddin Lakes (65km 3hrs). Alauddin Lakes is the chain of the most stunningly beautiful of numerous lakes in Tajikistan with crystal blue and green colors, each of which is a visual delight and seems more beautiful than the other.

DAY 4: ASCENT TO MUTNOE LAKE AND BACK (7km, 3-4hrs, 3500m)


This morning we are going to explore the beauty of a high-altitude lake situated between Highest Mountains of the valley like Kaznok Peak (4200m), Cherny Peak (5010m), Zamok Peak (5070m), Energia Peak (5105m) and dominant Chimtarga Peak (5487m). The view of these peaks will take your breath away. Really…! When I was here for the first time I felt the “magnetism” of the mountains. On the way also we can see a birch grove and a small "Piala Lake". Lunch will be near the lake.

Day5: TRANSFER TO PANJAKENT (900m, 157km, 4hrs)


Today we start our phenomenal cultural tour for the ancient and archeological city Panjakent, leaving out the mountains. On the way we also visit 9-11 century Minaret in Aini district. After then, we continue our adventure to Panjakent sights:
Sarazm.
1. Ancient Panjakent.
2. Rudaki Museum. Interesting museum of local history.

DAY 6: TRANSFER TO KHUJAND & HALF DAY SIGHTSEEING (300, 251km, 4.5hrs)


After the breakfast, early morning, we drive to the northern capital of Tajikistan – Khujand. Khujand is the oldest and historical city in the Central Asia and has the most delicious cousin of Tajikistan. The road to Khujand travels through stunning high mountains, iconic landscapes and beautiful juniper forest. On the way you also pass through longest tunnel of CIS countries - Shahristan (5253m) with its majestic scenery and diverting views from an altitude of 2760m.
Early afternoon we reach Khujand and we'll introduce you to top local attractions:
• Khujand fortress (VI-V. BC)
• Mausoleum of Sheikh Muslihiddin (1512—1513)
• Panjshanbe Market – One of the Top Bazaars on the Silk Road and arguably the most interesting and colorful place in Khujand
• Arbob Palace (1950)
• Historical Local Lore Museum of Archeology and Fortification

DAY 7: DEPARTURE TO DUSHANBE BY THE PLANE (45minut)


Today is the final day of the tour. We'll finish our trip with a flight to Dushanbe. Farewell lunch will be in Dushanbe.
