Day 1. Gorkhi Terelj national park and Genghis Khan statue
Drive to Terelj National park and visit nomadic family. Have horse riding to Turtle rock for around 30 min to 1 hour. Leisure hike up to Ariyabal meditation temple. After the hiking, drive to the local restaurant to have lunch. Drive to Tsonjin Boldog site and visit the complex. Take a ponaramic view of the surrounding landscape from the statue's deck. Overnight in ger camp.
Day 2. Khustain Nuruu national park with Przewalski horses
We’ll drive to the Khustai National Park located at 90 km to west from Ulaanbaatar. The National Park was originally set up in 1993 as a nature reserve for the first reintroduction of the Prezwalski’s Horse (Takhi) into Mongolia. You will have leisure to observe them in their natural habitat. It’s easily accessible to visitors when they come down from the mountains of the park to drink in the rivers. Overnight in nomad family’s ger.
Day 3. Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes - Mini Gobi and Khogno Khan Mountain
We’ll drive to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune and have camel riding at the sand dune. The local guide will help and teach us how to ride. Two humped camels are very comfortable and gentle to ride. We'll drive to Khogno Khan Uul National Park. It's a unique place with many different forms of landscape. Near the splendid mountain, Khogno Khan, we'll visit nomad family and get introduced their life style and taste dairy products. After little rest, we'll go hiking to the mountain to see Ovgon temple. Overnight in nomad family's ger.
Day 4. Kharkhorin with Erdene Zuu monastery and museum
We'll drive to Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of Mongolian Empire during 13th centuries. There, we’ll visit Erdene Zuu (Hundred treasures) monastery and local museum where we can explore incredible historical sites of ancient Empires of Stone and Bronze Ages. Overnight in the guesthouse, where we’ll have shower and charge our phones. Overnight in tourist camp.
Day 5. Orkhon Valley national park with Ulaan Tsutgalan waterfall
After having lunch, we’ll further drive to beautiful Orkhon river valley. The waterfall is located in beautiful Orkhon river valley with volcanic rocks which listed in the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES for its historical value related to Great Mongolian Empire. Orkhon Valley is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Central Mongolia. It is formed by the unique combination of volcanic eruption and earthquake. The height of waterfall is 22m. We have an opportunity to experience nomadic way of life, their culture and traditions. We will do some horse riding training around the waterfall area. Overnight in nomad family’s ger.
Day 6. Tuvkhun monastery and Tsenkher hot springs
Today we will drive to Tovkhon monastery, established by Undur Gegeen Zanabazar in 1654 dedicated to religious studies and artworks. It is located on top of larch forested rocky mountain at an altitude of over 2000 meters in the territory of Bat-Ulzii soum of Uvurkhangai province. We’ll walk up to mountain on tiny path to discover the temple as vehicles can’t go until the top.
We will drive to the Tsenkher hot spring. We will enjoy and relax taking a hot bath in evening. Overnight in tourist camp.
Day 7. Terkhi white lake and Khorgo volcano
We will drive to the Great White (Terkhiin Tsagaan) Lake and Khorgo Volcano. Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park is the spectacular mountain scenery and endangered species of fauna and flora. The area has extinct volcanoes, many beautiful lakes, a great number of animals and birds and is definitely one of the best natural tourist attractions. Khorgo is unique natural complex (2240), National Park surrounded by the Khangai mountains, which reach as 3000 m above the sea level. In the craters some of them are very tiny crystal clear lakes. The Khorgo ctater is situated at an altitude of 2.210 m with a diameter of 20 and depth of 70 to 80 m. We will walk around and enjoy the area, go hiking from the lake to the volcano. We will have good opportunity to take lots of nice photos. Overnight in the tourist camp.
Day 8. Tamir river, Taikhar rock and Lake Ugii
On the way we will take a break at the huge “Taihkar” rock.
We will drive further to Ugii Nuur lake. Ugii lake is freshwater lake, rich of many species of fish and birds, attracting domestic and international tourist for fishing, bird watching and swimming activities. We’ll go on a boat in the lake to enjoy the view of the lake surrounded by grassy steppe. Overnight in tourist camp.
Day 9. Lun and nomadic family
We’ll drive to Lun and visit a nomad family. We’ll play traditional game, ankle bone shooting.
Day 10. Ulaanbaatar, dinosaur museum and folk song and dance performance
We’ll drive to UB and after having lunch we’ll visit dinosaur museum and in the evening we’ll enjoy watching national folk song and dance performance.
English speaking guide, Professional driver + petrol + car, Breakfast + lunch+ dinner, 1.5 L drinking water per person a day, vegan meals can be arranged, for an hour camel and horse riding costs, entrance fees for the National parks, accommodation in ger camps and nomad family’s ger, tents, rolled matts, sleeping bags, kitchen equipment, folk music performance fee.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
