Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day 1. Welcome to Meet Our Team / Travel to Terelj National Park / Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex

Today, we will start our first-day trip driving to the eastern part of Ulaanbaatar visiting the Gorkhi Terelj National Park. Gorkhi Terelj offers fascinating rock formations, which it’s Turtle Rock against a background of pine trees covered mountains. The park is rich in flora and fauna and reminds of beautiful Alpine valleys. We will walk to the meditation temple of Ariyabal from there the scenery of park is magnificent. After all excursion to the park, we will drive to the Statue of Chinggis Khan Complex. This is one of the biggest horse Statue of Chinggis Khaan in the world. Overnight will spend an open air in a tent.

Day 2. Travel to Horizontal Rocky Hills, in Middle Gobi

After morning breakfast, we will drive to the Granit Rocky Hills. This 1750m high basalt and granite rock formation is beautifully located in the middle of a vast steppe. This rock mountain contains the ruins of a Buddhist meditation temple that dates back to the 17th century. Overnight will stay with a nomadic family in Ger.

Day 3. Explore White Cliffs

After morning breakfast, we will travel to White Cliffs, which we will be entering into the South Gobi, one of the wonderful steppes with ancient, magnificent bright colorful cliffs. Overnight will spend an open air in a tent.

Day 4. Travel to Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park / Hiking in the Yol Vulture Valley

After morning breakfast, we start driving to the majestic Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park, Yol Vulture Valley where we will enjoy the incredible scenery one of the most beautiful regions in the Gobi area. Depends on our arrival time in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park, we will explore and hiking in the eastern valley of the National Park about 3.6kms. The valley is an unusual narrow canyon with a stream that flows through the Eastern Beauty Mountains. During the winter, the stream freezes several km into the gorge. Day 5. Horseback Riding in the Eastern Beauty Mountain Valley / Hoping to See a Wild Rare Ibex

After a relaxing morning breakfast, we will meet our local horse guide and give us an advice people who are for the first time and able to ride on your own horse for the trip. You will be briefed by the guides about the horses, the rules, the riding skills and sightseeing opportunities in the area, where we will enjoy the undoubtedly one of the most beautiful scenery of the eastern mountain ranges. We will take a horse riding trip one of the eastern mountain valleys, where we will some walking around the area place where we will have an incredible view of the mountain range and valley. We are hoping to see and find a wild rare ibex (wild mountain goats) jumps high on the mountain cliffs, walls and large Yol vultures of prey circling overhead in the sky. Overnight will stay at a local guesthouse in Ger.

Day 6. Discover Khongor Sand Dunes

Today, we will drive deep into the Gobi Desert to the Khongor Sand Dunes-known as the Singing Sand dunes. We will see the marvelous Sand dunes, some of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia that stretches for an extraordinary 180km long, 3-20km wide and more than 300m high. Enjoy the Mongolian starry night sky. Overnight will stay with a nomadic family in Ger.

Day 7. Camel Riding Trip / Climb & Enjoy Sunset on the largest Sand Dunes in the Gobi

After a relaxing morning, you will have camel riding to the Sand Dunes. The camel ride will take you along the amazing desert scenery with a stony and sandy landscape. Riding camels is relatively easy with their gentle gait and slow steady pace. In the evening climbing and walk up to the top of the dunes during the sunset giving you an amazing panoramic view of the surrounding desert. Overnight will stay with the same nomadic family for another night in Ger.

Day 8. Explore Flaming Red Cliffs

After morning breakfast, we will set off again by 4WD and drive to the Flaming Red Cliffs at Bayanzag. This area is famous as the American explorer and naturalist, Roy Chapman Andrews, led series of dinosaur expeditions here in the 1920s. The dinosaur skeletons discovered during his expeditions are now kept in the Natural History Museum of America. Enjoy the sunrise and sunset on the wide steppe. Overnight will stay at a tourist Ger camp.

Day 9. Driving to Secret Mountain Area

After an early morning breakfast, we will set off again by 4WD and drive to the Great Secret Mountain, which it locates in the central part of Mongolia. Next morning at the place, walking and exploring the area. This place very unique and it was formed by a unique combination of granite eruptions. Surround by high mountain peaks with green grassland. Enjoy a starry night. Overnight will spend an open air in a tent.

Day 10. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar and on the way enjoy our lunch, ending our journey.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
