Mongolia is a wonderful place for trekkers who respect and love nature. Our trip gives you a big opportunity to visit at highlights of the south Gobi while travelling. The trip takes you to the famous Gobi Desert its massive sand dunes, Yoliin Am Gorge and Flaming cliffs and famous granite mountains of Middle Gobi. Every day, we travel to new places with new visits, and we do daily 1-2 hours hiking in the wilderness as well as visit at local nomadic families, riding camels in the Gobi Desert.
DAY BY DAY DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1. BAGA GAZRIIN CHULUU (L+D)
Meet your guide and driver at the hotel in the morning and drive to the Baga Gazariin Chuluu, a picturesque granite mountain in the steppes. Although far from the forest-steppe zone, the area is rich in asp, birch, white wicker and elm trees. Dinner and overnight at the ger camp.
DAY 2. YOL (B+L+D)
After breakfast, we start driving to the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Park in a drive that takes five to six hours, stopping for photography and possibly lunch along the way. Your route passes the 'Three Beauties', the final peaks of the range, and then cuts through the range itself, crossing between the crags of the spectacular Dungenee Pass as you make your way to Yolyn Am and onwards to the lodge. In the early evening, we will transfer to the ger camp and rest.
DAY 3. KHONGOR SAND DUNES (B+L+D)
The drive to the dunes at Khongoriin takes between 5 and 6 hours, passing through vast desert badlands that span out into the furthest distances, where remote mountains line the horizon. Lone gers and nomads on camelback hang suspended in the mirages, whilst the desert floor is strewn with a range of colourful rocks and unusual minerals. This is the Gobi at it's stark best - there are many opportunities to stop and take photographs of the landscapes and people. Visit the beautiful sand dunes and the Khongor river streaming through the sands, try camel riding along the Khongor sand dunes etc. Transfer to a ger camp, dinner and overnight there.
DAY 4. BAYANZAG (B+L+D)
Today we visit the Bayanzag - the Flaming Cliffs in Mongolian fashion. Enjoy the wilderness and unique nature formations. Transfer to ger camp. Lunch, explore around for dinosaur remains and walking in the rich saxaul forest. You can even find real dinosaur bones and eggs yourself! Enjoy your dinner and stay at the ger camp nearby.
DAY 5. ULAANBAATAR CITY (B)
After breakfast, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar. The drive that takes about hours with stop lunch on the way. Upon arrival, enjoy your farewell dinner in a local restaurant. End of service.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
