Kolkata & Darjeeling (An Unforgettable Tour)

DAY 01: KOLKATA ARRIVE

On arrival with Meeting and assistance at the airport, our representative will meet to welcome and escort you the Hotel. While the room keys and check-in is organized, our representative will also hand over the “Welcome Folder” documents and brief you the tour programmed. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

DAY 02: KOLKATA – BAGDOGRA (BY FLIGHT) – DARJEELING (65 KMS)

After breakfast Ttransfer to Kolkata Airport to board flight for Bagdogra. Arrive at the Bagdora Airport (IXB) where our representative will come to receive you, 03 hour drive to Darjeeling where you will check in at the Hotel. Evening free to roam around Mall or local Shopping center. Overnights stay at hotel.

DAY 03: IN DARJEELING

After Breakfast at hotel, and Visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop on the way back. Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing rock, an overview of Chitrey tea Garden, Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda. And spend the rest of the day at Leisure. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

DAY 04: DARJEELING

Early morning at around 3:45 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). Kanchenjunga, also spelled Kanchenjunga, is the third highest mountain in the world. It lies between Nepal and Sikkim, India, with three of the five peaks directly on the border, and the remaining two in Nepal's Taplejung District.

Back to hotel for breakfast – After breakfast next round of sightseeing – Half Day city tour includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing   Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda – Back to hotel – Evening free to stroll around the Mall area or Chowk Bazaar - Overnight stay at Darjeeling

DAY 05: DARJEELING – GANGTOK (98KMS / 04HRS)

Early morning after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Gangtok.

Upon arrival check into hotel and further drive to visit:-

  • Rumtek Monastery - One of the oldest Tibetan Monasteries in the world, Opening hours: 10 am to 5 pm in winters, 8 am to 5 pm during summers
  • Hanuman Tok – A peaceful place for visit is The Hanuman Tok and it is another tourist friendly place to visit in Gangtok. This age old Hanuman Temple offers the best views of Khangchendzonga from Gangtok. It is not the spirituality but the peacefulness of the place that has attracted tourist footfall since ages. Opening hours: 7 am to 5 pm
  • Namchi – A popular tourist attraction in Gangtok - Namchi is one of those tourist places to see in Gangtok that offers picturesque view of the Khangchendzonga range and the Rangit valley simultaneously. The 135 feet high statue of Guru Padmasambhava, perched upon the valley in Samdruptse at Namchi, is a famous attraction amongst tourists.
  • Banjhakri falls - This is a 100 ft waterfall located in a park near Ranka Monastery and is popular among tourists and locals for day picnics. And then back to hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Hotel

DAY 06: GANGTOK – BAGDOGRA – KOLKATA (BY FLIGHT)

After breakfast checkout from hotel and depart for the Bagdora Airport (IXB) from Darjeeling, 03 hour drive.

In time transfer to Airport board flight for. Upon Arrive in Kolkata. Check in your hotel, and Visit Dakhineshwar Temple, Belur Math, Jain Temple; later visit High Court Building, St. Paul Cathedral Church, National Museum, Kali Mandir etc, Overnight Stay at Hotel.

DAY 07: KOLKATA DEPART

After Breakfast half day sightseeing in Kolkata, visit Eden Garden Stadium, Eden Gardens is a cricket ground in Kolkata, India. It has also been used for Association football matches. It was established in 1864, Howrah Bridge, Howrah Bridge is a propped cantilever bridge with a suspended span over the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India, Dakshineswar Temple, St. Pauls Cathedral Church, Victoria Memorial Hall, is a large marble building in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, which was built between 1906 and 1921, and You can enjoy Tanga Ride beside Victoria Memorial.

Later transfer to Kolkata Airport to board flight for your onward destination.
