“Gobi Desert”

 

Day 1. Baga Gazariin Chuluu

 

We'll start with a full day trip to the Baga Gazryn Chuluu Ruins (1768 m from sea level). At this ruins there are mineral water springs and trees a top the many beautiful rocky hills. (Wild camping in a tent)

 

Day 2. Great Canyon - White Cliffs

 

The great canyon of “Tsagaan Suvarga” that appears like ancient cities and palaces in the beauty of the Great Gobi. The great place to hike. (Nomadic family Ger)

 

Day 3. Hiking through Yol Canyon (Vulture's Valley)

 

In the morning drive to Yol canyon. Learn about local flora and fauna at the Gurvan Saikhan National Park Museum. Yol Canyon is the Gurvan Saikhan mountains is home to endangered snow leopards and Lammergeyers (Bearded Vulture) where “eternal ice” (usually) remains throughout summer. (Wild camping in a tent)

 

Day 4. Khongor Sand dunes

 

After breakfast we will drive to reach the boundaries of the Gobi Gurvansaikhan (The Three Beauties of the Gobi) National Park and arrive at Khongoryn Els called the “singing dunes” for the sound of the wind howling through the dunes. 2600 feet high, 20 km wide and over 180 km long, these dunes offer some spectacular views of the desert. (Nomadic family Ger)

 

Day 5. Camel trekking/Climbing

 

Off driving day. Today you will start your day with morning camel riding. You will have lots of fun on the back of Bactrian camels which are also referred as only remained dinosaurs in the Gobi by locals. During the afternoon you will have opportunities to encounter some parts of daily nomadic lifestyle and be part of it too. Late evening sand dune climbing for the one of the most memorable sunset in Mongolian desert. (Nomadic family Ger or Tent)

 

Day 6. Bayanzag Flaming cliffs

 

Drive to Bayanzag, known as the Flaming Cliffs for its spectacular colors. The first dinosaur eggs were discovered at this site by an American expedition from the Museum of Natural History headed by Roy Chapman Andrews in 1922. Explore the area on foot. (Ger Tourist Camp)

 

Day 7. Zorgol Khairkhan secret mountain

 

Drives forward to UB and on the way spend a night at Zorgol Khairkhan Mountain. The mountain is venerated and revered by the local people, who believe that its the siege of a great, benevolent spirit. (Wild camping in a tent)

 

Day 8. Ulaanbaatar

 

We will arrive back to Ulaanbaatar after lunch time.
