Accommodation: Ger camp. Ger (yurt) is a Mongolian traditional dwelling and made with wooden frames and linen layers on the ceiling. Ger camp has about 30 gers for guests, and restaurant, bathroom facilities are located separately, it’s about 10m (30 foot) from the actual ger that you stay. Each individual ger has a stove in the center to keep the ger warm, and a small table, chairs, beds with mattresses and extra blankets. 2 Night at the ger camp, 2 nights in a nomadic family ger

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar – Genghis Khan Statue – 13th-century Theme Park - Terelj

Our driver will pick you up at an arranged time. We will travel about 1.5 hours to the great statue of Genghis Khan, and this is where the fun begins. This statue is not only the largest statue of Chinggis Khan in Mongolia but in the entire world. Its h is 40 meters (130 feet). From the visitor’s center, the top of the statue is accessible by elevator. Here we learn how and why Mongolians conquered the World in the 13th century. This vantage point provides great photo opportunities. Next, we will go to 13th Century National Park. Getting to know and experience the Mongolian way of life, customs, traditions, and military activities of the 13th Century in its genuine environment is far better than watching it on TV, at a movie, theater or reading about it in books. Many people wish to escape today’s urban life, metropolitan hectic schedules, noisy and polluted cities to a fresh and peaceful environment; “13th Century National Park” aims to provide you with these opportunities by welcoming you to its micro (macro) kingdom. You will be amazed as you watch and experience the 13th Century’s Mongolian lifestyle. The six (6) different camp areas offer insights on early Mongolian state affairs, livestock breeding, traditions, customs, garments, etc. Lunch will be served in the 13th Century National Park as Mongolian Traditional cuisine. We will then drive to the Terelj National Park.

Day 2: Terelj National Park – Khustai, Nomadic family

After breakfast, we will ride a horse for an hour in the green field through Zurkhaich valley and will head to Turtle rock, which is the first sight of the program. The Turtle rock is the biggest animal-shaped unique rocks located in the resort area and it looks identical to a giant turtle on a hill. Next sight is Ariyabal Meditation temple. This is a very well known old temple standing in the middle of the mountain and view from the temple is just amazing. The local people visit the center to offer their prayers and good wishes and dreams. After all this activity, we will drive to Khustai National Park. Here, we will stay in a nomadic family. While having overnight at the nomadic family, you will be introduced to the nomad’s lifestyle and learn from their culture and tradition.

Day 3: Khustai National Park

After breakfast at the nomadic family, we will drive to the Khustai National Park. This is the place where you can see the Takhi or Przewalski wild horses, which went to extinction at the end of the 19th century in Mongolia and have been recently reintroduced to Mongolia in the Khustai Mountains. First, we will visit the national park information center. Together with a camp guide, we will drive deep into the Khustai Mountain (about 10 km by dirt, and search for the horses and see them and take pictures with them. Then, we will go back to the nomadic family. Here, you have a great opportunity to take part in local people for their daily work such us give animal water to drink, helping with the goat milking, cleaning the fence, collecting firewood and herding sheep.

Day 4: Khustai National Park – Elsentasarkhai /Mini Gobi/

Today, we will head toward to Elsen Tasarkhai (Sole Sand Dunes) which is a unique and historical site. The long strip of sand dunes covering an area of 47000 hectares, this park contains many historical monuments, forests of silver birches and poplar trees, and sources. The ecosystem of this park is particularly interesting because the steppe and the taiga meet here. So, we can find fauna and flora that are characteristic of these two ecosystems and some wonderful landscapes. It is a unique place, many different forms of natural landscapes, Gobi sand dunes, forests and the Rocky Mountains. We will have an opportunity to hike on the small sand dunes. You also can camel trek through the Mini Gobi Desert.

Day 5: Elsentasarkhai /Mini Gobi/ - Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, we will visit Uvgun Monastery, dated from the 17th century. The monastery is in the Khogno Khan Mountain. The Enlightened Bogd Gegeen Zanbazar who as a Mongolian Buddhist religious leader, philosopher and artist founded Uvgun and Zaluu temples to honor his religious teacher. Then, we will head back to Ulaanbaatar city and transfer you to your hotel.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
