Bishkek – Kochkor – Lake Kol-Ukok
Day 1: Early Morning at 08:00am departure to Isakeev village in the region Kochkor. The road is good and distance is 210 km which is available to manage for 3 hours easily. Arrival in the start point at 11:00am and meet your guide team with ready horses. Short instruction of the horseback riding and take a first steps on the horseback to the gorge Ters-Tor for 1 hour. Stop for lunch on the river Ters-Tor. Check out the first experience of horseback riding and it is time to fix the some theoritical horseback riding skill bases. After lunch continue the horse trip to the lake Kol-Ukok.
Köl-Ükök Lake is nestled between two steep slopes in the Terskei Ala-Too Mountains. The steep surrounding slopes give Köl-Ükök its name, which means “lake in a chest”. The water is sweet and cold, and reaches a maximum depth of 17m. Around the lake the diversity and uniqueness of the flowers – from forgot-me-nots to the legendary edelweiss – will enchant you. Ascend the family yurt camp for having a stop first day. Be welcomed in the nomad’s family yurt. Dine and sleep in the yurt camp.
Kol-Ukok – Kochkor – Bishkek
Day 2: In the morning after breakfast from the surrounding mountains one you can get a view of glacier mountain lake Kol-Tor. For explore the this second lake you need to ride up the half way by horseback riding and last 200m distance take a hiking up to the lake on the altitude 3 400m above sea level. Enjoy the nature beauty and after take a trail back to the yurt for lunch. Afternoon take horseback riding tour back to Isakeev on the same way. Descent the finish point and transfer back to Bishkek. Arrival in Bishkek around 08:00pm.
