Day 1: Ulaanbaatar-Genghis Khan Statue and Terelj National Park
Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel. We will travel about 1.5 hours to the great statue of Genghis Khan. This statue is not only the largest statue of Genghis Khan in Mongolia but in the entire world. Its h is 40 meters (130 feet). From the visitor’s center, the top of the statue is accessible by elevator. This vantage point provides great photo opportunities. After that, we will drive to Terelj National Park. Here we can hike up to Turtle Rock, take photos and enjoy the scenery. Activities are:
- Hike to the Thousand Monks Cave
- Hike to the Turtle Rock
- Visit Ariyabal Buddhist meditation temple
- Horseback riding
- A picture with eagle and camel

Day 2: Khustai National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to Khustai National Park which is about 2 hours away from the city (82km paved roads, 13 km dirt roads). We will visit the National Park Information Center. Together with a camp guide we will drive deep into the Khustai Mountain (about10 km by dirt road) and search for the horses and view them and take pictures with them.

Day 3: Elsentasarkhai-Nomadic family
Today we will drive to Elsen Tasarkhai which is very unique and historical site. The long strip of sand dunes covering an area of 47000 hectares, this park contains many historical monuments, forests of silver birches and poplar trees, and sources. The ecosystem of this park is particularly interesting because the steppe and the taiga meet here. So, we can find fauna and flora that are characteristic of these two ecosystems, and also some wonderful landscapes. Here we visit Tsogtoo’s family to learn from their tradition and culture and experience the nomadic life such as riding a camel and horse and milking cow and goat. In the evening we will play Mongolian traditional game called a Shagai.

Day 4: Kharkhorum
After breakfast, we will drive to the east for Kharkhorum, an ancient Mongolian capital site. Today the site is completely ruined and instead one of the major Buddhist Monasteries that were erected few hundred years ago stands there today. Also, we will visit the Karakorum museum to take a journey to the Turkic empire and Great Mongol Empire in the 13th Century. After all the activities, we will get back to the Khogno Khan and rest.

Day 5: Khogno Khan Mountain-Uvgun Monastery-Ulaanbaatar
After your breakfast, we will hike to visit Uvgun Monastery, dated from the 17th century. The monastery is located in the Khogno Khan Mountain. The Enlightened Bogd Gegeen Zanbazar who as a Mongolian Buddhist religious leader, philosopher and artist founded Uvgun and Zaluu temples to honor his religious teacher. Afterward, we will drive to Ulaanbaatar city and watch Mongolian Tumen Ekh Ensemble enjoy the cultural show including throat singing, contortion, the sound of horse fiddle instrument, etc. After all, the activities, drop you off at your hotel.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
