Ashgabat-Darvaza-Merv (6d/5n) for 6 person

Day 1. Arrival in Ashgabat

  • Early morning Meeting guest at the international airport of Ashgabat.
  • Check in hotel
  • Rest after a long flight
     

Day 2. City Tour & Old Nissa excursion

  • Have a breakfast
  • Have an excursion to Old Nisa - included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, is one of the first capitals of the Parthian Empire (III century BC - III century AD), which is among the largest state entities of the ancient world.
  • Drive back to Ashgabat
  • On the way back visit the Mosque of Turkmenbashi Ruhy - main mosque in Turkmenistan, the largest single-domed mosque in the world and the largest in Central Asia, where 20,000 people can pray at one time.
    Have a lunch at a local restaurant   
  • Ashgabat city tour: Wedding palace, Arch of Neutrality, Independence Park, Ferries Wheel, Ertogrul Gazi Mosque and etc
  • Have a dinner at the local restaurant
  • Overnight at the hotel
     

Day 3. Ashgabat - Darvaza

  • Have a breakfast
  • Drive to Darvaza through the desert
  • Have a traditional lunch at the gas crater
  • Relax and photo time, sightseeing gas crater
  • Drive back to Ashgabat
  • Have dinner at local restaurant
  • Overnight at the hotel
     

Day 4. Ancient Merv & Margush

  • Have a breakfast
  • Drive to ancient Merv (in Mary)
  • The excursion to Old Merv "the East pearl" which is located in 35 km from the city of Mary. Merv - was one of the most ancient cities of Central Asia, settling down on the bank of the river of Murghab. Ruins of Merv were studied from 80th years of the 19th century;
  • Have a lunch at the local restaurant
  • Also visit to Kyz-Kala, Mausoleum of Sultan Sandzhar, Mausoleum of Muhammad-ibn-Zeyda, Yusuf Hamadani's Mosque, Mosque Talkhatan-baba and etc.
  • Then return to Mary city
  • An excursion across Mary: Russian Orthodox Church, central market, central mosque, city museum.
  • Have a dinner at the local restaurant
  • Overnight at the hotel
     

Day 5. Margush tour

  • Have a breakfast
  • Transfer to ancient Margush (in Mary)
  • Margush was the prospering ancient kingdom near Mary.
  • The first agricultural settlements have appeared in the delta of Murghab in the VII millennium BC. The fertile silt brought from mountains, abundance of water and moderately hot climate have created favorable conditions for cultivation of grain crops here.
  • Have a lunch at the local restaurant
  • Drive back to Ashgabat
  • Check in hotel
  • Visit parks and other shopping centers
  • Have a dinner at the local restaurant
  • Overnight at the hotel
     

Day 6. Ashgabat International Airport

  • Have a breakfast
  • Check out at hotel
  • Transfer to Ashgabat international airport
  • End of tour
