9 DAYS TRIP TO DISCOVER EPIC GOBI-DESERT & REINDEER NOMADS I

DAY 1. FLY TO MURUN TOWN/TO KHUVSGUL LAKE/

Today you will catch a flight to Murun town and once you land in the town, our driver and guide will pick you up from Murun Airport and drive to Kuvsgul Lake, the biggest fresh watered lake of Mongolia at a length of 137km and 262m deep.

DAY 2. TO DARKHAD PEOPLE/TSAGAAN NUUR VILLAGE/

 

Drive to Tsagaan nuur village where one of the Mongolian ethnic groups Darkhad people settled down. On the way to the village we take a short stop for lunch at Ulaan-Uul and continue the trip further to the north.  Upon our arrival at Darkhad people in Tsagaannuur village, we will prepare our lugguge for two days horse treking.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Overnight in a darkhad family’s additional ger/BLD/

 

DAY 3. EXPLORE REINDEER TRIBES

Start our horse trekking to Taiga/lash forest zone/ where reindeer tribes are settled down. Once we reach there you will experience reindeer herder’s unique lifestyle and custom.

DAY 4. BACK TO DARKHAD PEOPLE/TSAGAAN NUUR VILLAGE/

After breakfast, we will leave the reindeer tribe and continue our horse trekking back to the Darkhad family in Tsagaan Nuur village.

DAY 5. TO MURUN TOWN

 After breakfast we will head back to Murun town and once we reach there you will take a hot shower at a local hostel where we will stay over the night/BLD/

DAY 6. FLY BACK TO ULAANBAATOR CITY/

Early in the morning, after breakfast we will drive to Murun Airport to catch a flight back to Ulaanbaator city. Upon your arrival at UB, you can spend your time by our own/visit Gandan Monastery, National Museum and hit a black market etc. /+B

DAY 7. FLY TO DALANZADGAD CITY/ TO KHONGOR SAND DUNES VIA FLAMING CLIFFS/

Catch a flight to Dalanzadgad city, an administrational town of South Gobi province. Upon your arrival at Dalanzadgad Airport, our driver and guide will pick you up at 6:50AM in the morning and drive to "Flaming Cliffs or Bayan Zag – saxaul forest lies around 90 km from the Gobi Three Beauties National Park. The place became famous with its first scientifically recognized dinosaur fossilized eggs in the world and different species of dinosaur skeletons were discovered by Roy Andrew Chapman American explorer in 1923. And after visit the place we will continue our driving to Khongor Sand Dunes, the most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia, known as Singing Dune that makes sound like an airplane when the sand is moved by wind. Approximated length of the dune is over 120km, 12km wide and its highest point is 280m.   Activities: camel trekking, hiking, climb to the peak of the singing dune to enjoy sunset from its top.

DAY 8. TO YOLYN AM /VULTURE’S VALLEY/

Yolyn am is a deep and narrow gorge with steep rock walls situated within The Gobi Three Beauties mount range in southern Mongolia. The valley is named after vulture, which is called Yol in Mongolian. The gorge is also called as ice canyon. The thickness of ice field reaches over 3 meters deep by the end of winter, and is several kilometers long. In past years the ice remained whole year round, but lately the ice field tends to disappear by August due to global warming.  After visit the canyon, we will keep on our driving to Dalanzadgad city. Activities: hiking/3km, watch wild animals and visit south gobi museum.

DAY 9. FLY BACK TO ULAANBAATOR CITY/

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
