Historic Central Tour-4 days

Day 1: Kharkhorin 

Kharkhorin is located in distance of 360 km away in the west of Ulaanbaatar, the ancient capital city of Mongol Empire founded by Ugudei Khaan who was successor of Chinggis Khaan in 1235. It had been political, economical and religious center of nomadic empire for decades untill it was totally destroyed by Ming troops. In present day, there is modern town on the ruin of it. Only some part of destroyed city has been excavated and findings have been placed in the Kharkhorin museum. There is another attraction in that town for the visitors is Erdene zuu monastery. This is considered to be the oldest buddhist monastery in Mongolia established in 1586 by Avtai Sain khan.

Day 2: Khugnu Khan Natural Reserve

This is a perfect place for having different feelings because there are various scenery in one place, such as, grassland where horseman herding flock of sheep, strip of sand dune where you can ride a camel over, and big mountains which have beautiful granite rock formations where you can do some hiking and climbing. You will get real interactions with true nomads.

Elsen Tasarkhai /The Semi Gobi/

Elsen tasarkhai is a part of the Mongol Els sand dunes, which stretchs along the Tuv, Uvurkhangai and Bulgan provinces. The area is surrounded by sand dunes, hills covered with rare bushes and a small forest near a river.
Together this presents a unique combination of Mongolian mountains, forests and Gobi-type landscape in one location. The area is populated by the Maral stag (elk), wolves, deer and fox. The Elsen Tasarhai literally means "an isolated torn-off piece of sand" and it is a small sequence of real desert in the midst of green steppes. It feels like in the Gobi Desert, and visitors can hike in the sand dunes.

Day 3: Khustai and Terelj National Park

Khustai National Park is located 80 km, west of the capital. It's known as a wild horse, also named Przewalsky horse. Khustai is most famous one of three national parks where wild horses have been reintroduced after they were completely extinct in the wild. It has been protected area since the first 15 horses were reintroduced in 1. Today, there are about 350 horses in 19 herds. If you get there, you'll be able to see not only the horses but also, some wildlives such as, wolves, red foxes, deers and marmots. Some bird species can be spotted too.

Terelj National park is located in the east of Ulaanbaatar. It can be the most famous place for visitors because of it's location. It's landscape is colorful and with wonderful alpine scenery. Travelers can take leisurely strolls on meadows carpeted with variety of wild flowers view fascinating rock formations against a backdrop of pine-covered mountains.This place is accessible all year round for plenty of activities. You can go hiking, climbing, dog sledding and skiing, do horse and camel riding.

Day 4: Statue Complex of Chinggis Khaan

Chinggis Khaan's statue was built in 2008, 40m high stainless steel. It was located on top of the hill named Tsonjin Boldog where Chinggis Khaan found horse whip back in 13th century. It is considered to be the biggest Horseman's statue in the world so far. There are musuem and exhibition hall of development of Mongolian Ger in the basement, giant model of national boot and some souvenir shops in the first floor, restaurant in the second floor. You will be able to get on the horse head by using both elevator and stairs, admiring the view on it.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
