Biafo Hisper/ Snow lake Trek

Overview:

Biafo Hisper and Snow Lake trek is a world famous and hard trek which makes us cross the world largest glaciers after the polar region around 116 kilometers by joining Biafo Glacier 61 Kilometers on the Karakorum Range meet at 5151m at Hisper Top with the Hisper glacier 55 Kilometers. This is like a highway of ice which connects the two ancient valleys; Nagar in the west and Baltistan in the east. The famous snow lake is lying on 500 meters behind the pass. After crossing Hisper La, we reach on the other side of Hisper glacier which gives a beautiful panoramic view of Mountains around Hisper, glacier. Then, we cross lash green pastures and get in to Hisper village.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival to Islamabad  

Welcome and receiving at Islamabad International airport and shifted to the Hotel. Here meet with the group and during the day visit to the famous bazaars, Mosque and other places in Islamabad depending on time


Day 2: Islamabad to Skardu ( By flight or bus) 
 
Given good weather we will fly to Skardu (perhaps the most
 spectacular commercial flight in the world, with magnificent views of Nanga Parbat the 9th highest mountain in the world. If the weather doesn’t allow the flight we take the Karakorum Highway on the old silk route. This is just spectacular. It’s a long drive but one of the great journey’s of the world between the deep gorges of the mighty Indus. Overnight hotel in Chilas, driving over Babsur Pass will minimize the distance and the night stay will be in Naran. (10-12 hour drive).


Day 3: Explore Skardu

If you are lucky to get flight to Skardu, than a plenty of time to explore city and visit very old bhuda rock. By bu through KKH, We complete to Skardu our journey in around 8 hours passing Nanga Parbat and the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. You will look back in awe and reflect on what an amazing civil engineering achievement the Karakoram Highway was in its time. You will have crossed the point where four great continental plates come together forming four of the world’s greatest mountain ranges (Himalaya, Karakoram, Hindukush the Pamir.


Day 4: Jeep ride to Askoli

Today we take a Jeep ride to Askole 3,300m/ 10,827ft. The last village between us and K2 from where we begin our trek towards K2 the following morning.


Day 5: Trek to Namla

Today we trek to Namla, it will take 6 to 7 hours hard walk. The camp will be set at the altitude 3690m.


Day 6:Trek to Mango 4-5hrs 3660m

Todays is a 4 hoursof  hard trek on the stones of the Biafo glacier.


Day 7:Trek to Baintha 6-7hrs 3990m 
Day 8: Free day at Baintha 
Day 9: Trek to Napina (Nnapo Goro) 5-6 hrs 4390m

Day 10: Trek to Snow Lake Hisper Base camp 4-5 hrs 4770m 
Day 11: Free day at Snow Lake/ Hisper BC 
Day 12: Trek to Khani Bassa, after crossing Hisper Pass 5151m 
Day 13: Trek to Yutmaru Glacier 4-5 hrs 
Day 14: Trek to Red Star camp 6-7 hrsTrek to Red Star camp 6-7 hrs
Day 15: Trek to Bitanmal 6-7 hours 
Day 16: Trek to Hisper village 5-6 hrs 
Day 17:Drive to Karimabad by 4X4 jeeps

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
