Activity: Lun nomad family-Mongol Sand dune-Karakorum city- Ulaanbaatar city
Day1. Around 9 a.m. and drive out of the city to Hustai National Park. This area is home to the Mongolian wild horse known as Perzevalski horse (takhi) with unique landscape that features mountain and steppe we will drive for wildlife observation a southern valley in Ungut Mountain national park and to see Ungut, a monument ensemble consisting of man stones from the 6-8th centuries. Having a lunch box. Continue to explore the national park and hiking to see the wild horses in their natural habitat. There is a great opportunity to take a photo for these endangered horses. If you are lucky, you can see fox, deer, roe deer, eagle, and more animals and birds. We will sleep with a local nomadic family to experience firsthand how people live in the countryside, a lifestyle which has not changed since centuries. Here you can help the herders with their daily tasks to get an idea of how nomadic people alongside their livestock. B+L+D
Day2. Mongol Sand Dune
In the morning at 9 a.m. our tour will continue to Elsen Tasarkhai, which is one of the most visited national parks in Mongolia. lunch served on the way. The area is surrounded by sand dunes, hills covered with rare bushes and a small forest near a river. Together this presents a unique combination of Mongolian mountains, forests and Gobi-type landscape in one location. These stays among locals will give you the opportunity to share the daily life of your hosts and taking part in their tasks. You will be led to help to make dairy products, to take part in milking the animals or to help to round-up the herd. We will ride camels along sand dunes and enjoy the incredible contrasting view. For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
