The including UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Karakorum city, Orkhon Valley), Karakorum ruins and museum of ancient Mongolian capital and oldest famous Erdene Zuu monastery. As well as Amart monastery,this monastery astonishing in its beauty and design, the monastery’s main temple was completed without the use of a single nail, unique beautiful fresh deepest Huvsgul Lake. Huvsgul Lake, the freshest and deepest lake in Central Asia, is positioned in a North-South direction with an oval shape. Its length is 133.4 km from north to south while widest is 39.5 km from west to east. This lake has a volume of 380 km3 and it is second in Asia and 14th largest in the world. Huvsgul Lake contains 93.6 % of the total surface freshwater of Mongolia and 1% of world freshwater. Huvsgul Lake is surrounded by beautiful high mountains of the Khoridol Saridag and Bayan Mountain Ranges. Uran crater dormant volcano is a biggest in Mongolia . It is the best experience of Mongolia and a very educational tour.

Full Itinerary

Day1. Karakorum city & Erdenezuu monastery

Around at 10:00 directly driving towards Karakorum city and Erdenezuu monastery.  The most prominent historical site in Orkhon Valley is the Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol empire. The Karakorum, founded in 1220 by Genghis khan, was not only the capital of the vast Mongolian Empire but the epicenter of trade along the Silk Road. We will visit the museum of Karakorum and learn about the beautiful ancient city. B+L+D

Day2. Khanui spring

After breakfast, we will head to Khanui nature spring for 150 km. Khanui nature spring, then the valley becomes a narrower basaltic canyon with 20-30m deep. This area was covered by basalt as south and north Khuis-Mandal volcanoes exploded in early time. The Khanui river is 20-30m wide at the beginning but becomes 50-80 km wide by the end.  The Khanui River made a deep canyon on the basalt surface. A forest grows along the canyon and there are also some small caves. B+L+D

Day3. Murun city

After breakfast, we will drive to Murun city. Murun city (Huvsgul province) is the northernmost of the 21 aimags (provinces) of Mongolia. The name is derived from Lake Huvsgul. This city a transport hub in northern Mongolia that's also the center of civilization in this part of the country. It comes alive in summer when tourists pass through on their way to Huvsgul Lake. Day4. Huvsgul Lake (horseback riding)

After breakfast, we will drive to Huvsgul Lake for 160 km. On the way, we will visit Khatgal town. There we will meet our local horse’s guide. Horse ride begins from Khatgal town! We will make a horseback riding trip alongside the shore lake and the surrounding with forest mountains to have a better look at the beautiful Blue Pearl Lake Huvsgul as well as we will meet reindeer herders and explore their lifestyle, customs, and sacraments. Day5. Huvsgul Lake

Today full day, it is free time for you to be on your own. There is a great opportunity to hiking, kayaking or just enjoy wild nature to take photos. Also, you can ride a motor-boat around the lake. B+L+D

Day6. Uran crater

After breakfast, we will drive to the Uran crater. Uran crater or know as Urantogoo Uul biggest volcano in Mongolia. This volcano was active in the 3rd to 4th geological periods and exploded 20-25 thousand years ago. This mountain is unevenly covered by larch trees and the larch forest is still increasing in recent years. You can go short climbing to the Uran crater. B+L+D

Day7. Amart monastery

After breakfast, our next destination is an Amart monastery. This monastery astonishing in its beauty and design, the monastery’s main temple was completed without the use of a single nail. Incredibly, Amart escaped the fate of many other Buddhist monasteries during the political purges of the 1930s, surviving almost untouched. Tonight special dinner (Khorkhog is a barbecue dish in Mongolian cuisine). B+L+D

Day8. Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, we will head to Ulaanbaatar.  In the evening we will attend an amazing performance of Mongolian traditional music and dance. B+L.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
