GOBI DESERT DISCOVERY TOUR
DURATION: 8 days/ 7 nights
DESTINATION: Ulaanbaatar- Tsagaan Suvarga- Yol Valley- Khongor Sand Dunes- Bayanzag- Baga Gazriin Chuluu- Terelj National Park- Ulaanbaatar
Day 01: Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
International flight lands in Chinggis Khaan airport and you will be transferred to the hotel in Ulaanbaatar then have dinner. Rest of the day you can relax or if you want to see around feel free to ask from your hotel reception for recommendations.
Day 02: Tsagaan suvarga
Early morning after breakfast tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive to South Gobi. Lunch time stop in Dund-Gobi province have some food and do shopping if needed. After that continue to driving to the Tsagaan Suvaraga. In the evening arrive Tsagaan Suvaraga take picture and feel the nature then go the Ger camp or resort. At camp have dinner and you can see the beautiful sunset from your room. In the night enjoy under trillions of stars and Milkyway.
Day 03: Yol valley
Early morning after breakfast drive to the Dalanzadgad province have lunch there do shopping if needed and Yol valley will be 30minutes from there. Yol valley is sheltered by high cliff walls on both sides of the canyon, thick ice gorges remain frozen even on summer’s hottest days. After enjoying the nature go to the Ger camp and have dinner rest of the day you can relax in comfortable silent clean ger. Same as first night you can see and feel great nature of Mongolia.
Day 04: : Khongor sand dunes
On this day you don’t need to get up early. Just have breakfast and see around drive to the small village in Gobi lunch time you will arrive in Bulgan town eat some Mongolian food there by real local made. Continue to the Great sand dunes. After arrive in ger camp have dinner then go the sand dunes. From sand dunes you can see the sunset and do some trekking don’t forgot to hear the sound from the sand.
Day 05: Bayanzag flaming cliffs
Upon breakfast depart to the Bayanzag which is a famous for the first discovery of fossilized dinosaurs.
Bayanzag is also well known for red tall hillocks formed as a result of wind and water erosion which look like fire in the middle of the desert from distance. There local handmade shops sells goods like camel, rocks, suveineirs, accessiories ect. White fossilized bones are still found nowadays. Return back ger camp and overnight.
Day 06: Baga gazriin chuluu
Drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu in Dundgobi province. this is another granite rock formation in the middle of the steppe plains. Five km away, the highest peak 1768 meters in the area; Baga Gazariin Uul mountain will take about 5 hours to climb. Leisure time for rock climbing and hiking activities. Day 07: Terelj
Early morning drive to the Terelj national park on the way stop in the Tuw province have dinner there and continue to the drive. In the afternoon arrive in Terelj national park see ariyabal monastery, turtle rock and very amazing view, hicking trekking .
Terelj National Park is one of the most visited and interesting national parks of Mongolia. It is connected with Ulaanbaatar by a paved road with 70km.
The National Park is by its natural beauty, forested alpine mountains and interesting rock formations (Massive woolsack weather conditions) very well known.
Highlights: Turtle Rock, Meditation temple Ariyabal and visit local nomadic families. During the summer there are great opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, flower and bird watching. Your accomadation will be very cozy and good view.
For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
