Embark on a one-of-a-kind adventure of the most fabulous cities of north and North West India. The finest way of touring this great nation is to explore its historical cities in the north such as the national capital of Delhi, the city of eternal romance Agra, and the iconic Mughal city, Fatehpur Sikri. The north-west of India is home to the regal state of Rajasthan where we will embark on a rendezvous with the pink paradise of Jaipur, the iconic ‘Sun City’ of Jodhpur, and the ‘Venice of the East’ Udaipur. Also witness famous Pushkar Camel Fair. This week-long fair is the highlight of the tour. The Pushkar Mela of Rajasthan is one of the largest cattle fairs ever held in Asia. This annual event attracts tens of thousands of travellers from across the globe that flock down in huge numbers to experience this astonishing event.
Day 1 Arrive Delhi
We are delighted to welcome you to India’s charming capital city, Delhi. Meet & greet on arrival at the visitor lounge of the airport and escort you to your hotel room. Gear up as we have 11 fantastic days planned for you, where we take you on a tour of the finest cities of the North and North-West India.
Day 2 Delhi
Begin your capital escapade with a visit to the by-lanes of charming Old Delhi, which houses the historic Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi; and the main residence of the Mughal emperors, the Red Fort (Outer View). Be one with the locals as you enjoy rickshaw rides through the narrow lanes of Old Delhi and visit the colourful market. Visit one of India’s largest mosques, the Jama Masjid and drive past the city’s most popular sites such as Connaught Place, the Parliament and President House. Stop at India Gate to briefly admire the war memorial. Continue further and visit Humayun’s Tomb and India’s most famous minaret, the Qutab Minar.
Day 3 Delhi – Agra
Take a tour of the fabulous city of Agra, which is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the spectacular Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays). Visit the historic Agra Fort where the Mughal Emperors resided during the 17th century.
Day 4 Agra - Jaipur
Head to the Pink City in the royal land of Rajasthan but not before we stop for camera-worthy moments at another jewel in the Mughal dynasty crown, Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive in Jaipur and check into your hotel.
Day 5 Jaipur
Go on a tour of the Amber Fort in majestic style – ascend and drive down in a jeep. We’ve also planned visits to iconic structures like the breath-taking City Palace, the Jantar Mantar Observatory and the brilliant Hawa Mahal. Spend the evening soaking in the Rajasthani culture in its vibrant markets and bazaars.
Day 6 Jaipur – Pushkar
Enjoy your breakfast and then drive to Pushkar, nicknamed ‘The Lotus Flower’. Pushkar serves as one of the five pilgrimage sites of the Hindu devotees, which is why this vibrant city is always buzzing with traveller. Arrive and check in to your accommodation and after freshen up explore the iconic Pushkar fair.
Day 7 Pushkar
As we promised, today you have the entire day to explore one of India’s most famous and largest gatherings of people, the Pushkar Fair. The fair witnesses the presence of 50,000 camels and camel farmers, several musicians, gypsies and over 200,000 global tourists. Celebrated over 8 days, it begins with buying and selling of camels and horses and the festivities take an interesting turn with every passing event from camel races to tribal dances, moustache competitions, and tug-off wars. Enjoy a fun-filled day, one like you’ve never experienced in your life before we move on to the next destination.
Day 8 Pushkar - Jodhpur
Enjoy your breakfast and the continue your rendezvous with Rajasthan as we proceed to the ‘Sun City’ of Jodhpur. Arrive and check into your hotel accommodation and later visit the marvel of ancient architecture, the Mehrangarh Fort. Next head to the Jaswant Thada, known for its whimsical domes. The Jaswant Thada is a royal cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Known as the ‘Taj Mahal of Marwar’, the cenotaph has exquisite marble latticed screens, built from intricately carved, thin marble sheets.
Day 9 Jodhpur – Udaipur
Yet another road trip awaits us as we bid adieu to the Sun City and head for the city of Lakes, Udaipur en-route visiting exquisitely carved 15th centuary Jain temples in Ranakpur. After admiring the glorious Ranakapur Temple continue your drive towards the Lake City and on arrival check into your hotel.
Day 10 Udaipur
Today, we visit the splendid City Palace of Udaipur and the Garden of Maids, known famously as the Saheliyon Ki Baari. A sunset boat cruise on the Lake Pichola is the perfect way to end your tryst with Rajasthan.
Day 11 Depart Udaipur
After 10 exciting days, exploring the finest gems of India’s north the tour comes to an end with the dropping you at the Udaipur airport for your flight to onward destination
For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
