Admire the architecture and beauty of Palace, ancient temples, courtyards, the house of living goddess and Hanuman Dhoka. Next visit Swayambhunath, one of the holiest Buddhist stupas in Nepal. It is said to have evolved spontaneously when the valley was created out of a primordial lake more than 2,000 years ago. This stupa is the oldest of its kind in Nepal and has numerous shrines and monasteries on its premises.  We continue further to visit Patan Durbar Square. Patan is known for its architectural ancient masterpieces and historical sites. The Durbar (Central) Square of Patan is home to some of the most astonishing marvels of architecture, boasting of a far greater concentration of ancient temples than those in Kathmandu. The tour of Kathmandu begins today on a spiritual note as you head for a visit to the iconic Pashupatinath temple, a sacred Hindu temple located on the banks of the Bagmati River.  Since 1979, the temple is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The expansive temple precinct is also home to a wide collection of temples, ashrams and inscriptions raised over centuries.  After visiting the holy centre of the Hindu community in Nepal, we head on to get an insight into the Buddhist culture at the Boudhanath Stupa, the holiest shrine and the country’s largest stupa. One of the largest stupas in the world, the Boudhanath Stupa consists of 50 gompas (Tibetan convents) and is filled with intriguing legends and mythological tales dating back to the 6th century CE. It is one of the most visited holy centres of Buddhism in the world.  We continue further to visit Bakhtapur Durbar Square. The Durbar Square is famous for Windows Palace, statue of King Malla, Art Gallery with antiques and temples of stone and woodcarvings and the splendid Golden Gate, the five-story Nyatapola Temple and the Dattatreya Square with its famous Peacock Window, the Woodcarving Museum and the Brass & Bronze Museum.
