Whether they were mathematics, medicine, astronomy, painting or music, no field escaped from fundamental discoveries and the influence of the great scientists of the region. It is a historical fact that some remains are not completely saved. However, Emir Timur, better known in the West under the name of Tamerlane, said in the XIV century, "Let people who doubt about our power, come to see our achievements". That is why we invite you to do.

Uzbekistan, located in the heart of Central Asia, centre of the traditional Silk Road, covers 448,000 km2 area and has common borders with Kazakhstan in the north and northeast, with Kyrgyzstan in the northeast, Turkmenistan in the southwest, Tajikistan in the southeast and Afghanistan in the south. Its territory extends mainly between the two major rivers of Central Asia: the Syrdarya in the north and the Amudarya in the south.

Official language: Uzbek (language of Turkish origin)

The country declared independence from the former USSR on August 31, 1991 and has been a member of the United Nations since March 2, 1.

  Tashkent-Urgench -Khiva-Bukhara-Gijduvan- Samarkand- Tashkent

 Day 1. Tashkent-Urgench-Khiva

 Khiva, a city that seems to have come straight out of a fairy tale, an oasis in the desert of Kyzylkum, with Ichan-Kala, the inner city, entirely classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which contains about fifty historical monuments behind its walls.

  Arrival in Tashkent. Welcome by your English-speaking guide at outside of the airport.

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for the flight Tashkent-Urgench. Arrival in Urgench and Transfer to Khiva. (35 km). Check in at the hotel.

 Lunch. Rest.

Free time for individual discoveries.

Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

 Day 2.  Khiva

 Breakfast at the hotel.

The rest of the visits: the madrasah and minaret of Islam Khodja. The Friday Mosque (Jumah), the Caravanserai, the Palace of Allakulikhan with his harem.

 Lunch.

  Beginning of visits to Ichan-Kala (inner city). The minaret Kalta Minar with the madrasah of Mukhammad Aminkhan, the complex of Kunya Ark, the madrasah of Mukhammad Rakhimkhan, the mausoleum of Said Alauddin, the mausoleum of Pakhlavan Makhmud, the Harem.

Dinner. Overnight at the hotel. 

 Day 3. Khiva – Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Bukhara. The road crosses mainly the Kyzylkum desert, the second largest desert in Central Asia.

Bukhara, the noble city, was the second historical capital of the country. Its old alleys lead to the districts of the Middle Ages where we discover the Market Domes, preserved as they were centuries ago, and the caravanserais, built in the heart of these large markets. They made the city famous as well as the squares built around pools which remain the privileged places for walks.

 Lunch on the way in a restaurant or in Bukhara (a little bit late).

First acquaintances of Bukhara. The Ensemble of Lyabi Khauz. (A large pool surrounds madrasahs, a khanaka and a caravanserai).

Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

 Day 4.    Bukhara

 Breakfast at the hotel.

Continuation of the visits. Mausoleum of the Samanids, Job mausoleum, Bolo-Khauz mosque, Ark citadel. According to the legend, saint Job would have come to Bukhara in order to help the inhabitants when the city was suffering because of a natural drought. He would have opened a well and this is a holy spring which we can see in his mausoleum.

Lunch at Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble.

The continuation of the visits ; Magoki Attori Mosque, an old mosque in the city, built on the ruins of an ancient Fire temple, merchant cupola of hat makers, madarsahs of Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan, cupola of goldsmiths, Poyi Kalon square with the old minaret of the XII century, and the Kalon Mosque, the exterior of the Madrasah of Miri Arab which has been in operation since its foundation in 1535-1537.

Dinner with the spectacle of dances and traditional songs.

 Day 5.    Bukhara-Gijduvan-Samarkand

 Samarkand, the Centre of the Universe, 2,800 years history is making it one of the oldest inhabited cities on the Earth. Because, like the phoenix, it is still alive after the ashes of the countless Persian, Greek, Arab, Mongolian or Russian invasions. It was the capital of half the world and the gigantic monuments of the Timurids period. Still the mosques, madrasahs, mausoleums with blue and fluted domes leave the traveller amazed.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Road to Samarkand. Cultural stop on the way to visit: house-workshop of a famous ceramist from Gijduvan, the ruins of a large caravanserai from the XI-XII centuries. and a water tank dating back to the XIV century.

Lunch. Arrival in Samarkand and installation at the hotel. Beginning of the discoveries of the city of Samarkand. Visits to the famous Registan Square , with the three madrasas : Ulugbek (XV), Sherdor (XVII), Tillakori (XVII) and the Mausoleum of Guri Emir with the tombs of Amir Timur (well known in West as Tamerlane) and his descadents.

Dinner in town. Overnight at the hotel.

 Day 6.     Samarkand- Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel.

Beginning of visits The necropolis of Shakhi Zynda (XI-XII, XIV-XV), the observatory of Ulugbek (the rest of the sextant (15th century) with a small museum), the Bibi-Khanum mosque (XIV -XV), the big market of Samarcande. Free time for shopping.

Lunch in town.

In  the afternoon visiting to ancient Paper Producing Mill which is placed outside of the city.

Transfer to the railway station for the train to TASHKENT.

Dinner in town. Overnight at the hotel

Day 7.   Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel.

Tashkent, the present capital, is the largest city in Central Asia, the Gateway to the Orient, with its 2200 years of history, traditional architecture coexists with modern one. This is a green and airy city including lots of gardens with diffrerent kind of trees.

First acquaintances of Tashkent capital of Uzbekistan.  Visits to the old part of Tashkent: the Kukaldash madrasah, the Khasti Imam complex with the Barak Khan madrasah, the Kaffal Shashi mausoleum, the Tilla Sheikh mosque, the Chorsu Bazaar (the largest market in Tashkent).

Transfer to the international airport.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
