Day 1. Arrival Day & City Tour
This day we will pick you up from the Airport and transfer to the hotel***.
If you want, you can take a rest for a while and then we are going to do a city tour.
We will visit
- Zaisan hill from the hill you will be able to see the whole city.
- Gandan-Tegchlen Monastery
- Mongolian National History Museum and we will have dinner and we are going to drop you off your hotel.
Day 2. Drive to Tsagaan Suvraga / White Stupa (B/L/D)
This morning, after having breakfast at the hotel, our guide and driver pick you up from the hotel and drive to Tsagaan Suvarga which is located in Dundgovi province. It is interesting to see the sheer slope, facing east, which from a distance seems to be the ruins of the ancient city. The cliff is 30 meters high and 100 meters wide. Over thousands of years, the wind has created this amazing structure.
There are 2 famous sites for exploring. The first one is an interesting cave which is 70 m long Khevtee Bosoo agui (Lie and Stand Cave) and not so far from the site. The second option is exploring Del uul (Back Mountain) for seeing rock drawings of the Bronze Age. This is considered to be the largest site of Rock drawings in Central Asia. Overnight tourist camp.
Day 3. Drive to South Gobi & Yol valley (B/L/D)
In the morning we will drive to Yol Valley (Vulture Canyon). The Vulture Canyon, which nestles between the beautiful peaks of Gurvansaikhan of the Three Beauties. After arrival at the canyon, we will take a 2-hour hike through the canyon and maybe able to see parts of a glacier left over from the winter months. On our way in/out of the park, we can visit the local Natural History Museum where dinosaur eggs and bones, petrified trees and a snow leopard are on display. Overnight tourist camp.
Day 4. Drive to Khongor Sand Dunes (B/L/D)
Today we will drive to the Khongr sand dunes takes between 3 and 4 hours, passing through vast desert badlands that span out into the furthest distances, where remote mountains line the horizon.
Lone gers and nomads on camel back hang suspended in the mirages, whilst the desert floor is strewn with a range of colorful rocks and unusual minerals. This is the Gobi at it's stark best - there are many opportunities to stop and take photographs of the landscapes and people. Visit the beautiful sand dunes and the Khongor river streaming through the sands, try camel riding along the Khongor sand dunes. Overnight in ger camp.
Day 5. Drive to Bayanzag/Flaming cliffs (B/L/D)
Today we are going to drive to visit to the Bayanzag area. Known as a Flaming Cliffs "Cradle of Dinosaurs" this is where the first nest of dinosaur eggs ever discovered was found in 1922. A site was famous for the remains of a dinosaur that lived here 60 million years ago. You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saxaul trees and other classic desert vegetation. Overnight in tourist ger camp.
Day 6. Drive to Baga Gazar-Rocky Formation (B/L/D)
The astonishing granitic formations of Baga Gazariin Chuluu, "stone of the little place", are located in the northwest of the Dundgovi province.
Therefore, you may manage to see on the rock the inscriptions written by two venerated monks who lived there in the 19th century. We will visit on the site the ruins of an old temple dating from the 17th century. We can see there a deep narrow hole. The stagnating rainwater could treat ocular illnesses. A little ladle has been put on the rock for the people to wash their eyes with the sacred water.
Day 7. Drive to Terelj NP (B/L/D)
Today we will drive to Terelj National Park which is considered one of the most beautiful worth visiting places for travelers who wanted to rest in surroundings near UB. If you like adventure activities such as hiking, rafting, horse or camel riding and visiting nomad family and stay overnight in traditional Ger dwelling within short period, this is the real place to fulfill your wishes. We will ride a horse over here for one hour.
Day 8. Drive to Chinggis Khan equestrian statue complex (B/L)
This morning after having breakfast, we will drive to Chinggs Khan equestrian statue complex to visit. The equestrian statue of Chinggis Khan was built in 2008 on the occasion of the -hundredth anniversary of the foundation of the Mongolian Empire, in honor of its founder, Chinggis Khan. This huge stainless steel statue weighs 250 tons and is 40 meters (131 feet) high; it's the highest statue representing a man on a horseback in the world. Then we will drive back to the city in other to drop you off international airport/Departure.
For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
