Not for nothing is Kerala called God’s Own Country. Blessed with lush green landscapes and charming backwaters, Kerala is breath-taking and relaxing at the same time. Kerala offers the perfect antie. Begin your trip in the spice city of Kochi, and explore its beautiful churches and synagogues. We then take off to Kumarakom and Alleppey for a close encounter with astonishing backwaters, as you ride a local canoe through narrow canals, lined with lush greenery and swaying palms. Head home via Kochi after you’ve been thoroughly relaxed and rejuvenated.
Day 1 Arrive Kochi
Fly to the southern land also known as God’s own country, Kerala. Once you land in the port city of Kochi, we transfer you to the comfort of your hotel rooms.
Day 2 Kochi
Take to the streets of Kochi to visit some of its most popular sight-seeing attractions. Visit the Jewish Synagogue and the Mattancherry Palace, (both closed on Fridays, Saturdays and Jewish Holidays) also known as the Dutch Palace, built in the 15th century by the Portuguese. Kochi is also home to India’s oldest European Church, the St. Francis Church. Catch a fascinating glimpse of the Chinese fishing nets and visit a local theatre to witness a Kathakali dance performance.
Day 3 Kochi – Periyar
Head to Periyar, a beautiful lake town. Spend some fun moments at the Periyar National Park followed by a serene boat ride on Lake Periyar.
Day 4 Periyar – Kumarakom / Alleppey
Kerala is so picturesque that a lot can be covered on a road trip and that is just what we will do when we drive down to Kumarakom and Alleppey for an encounter with the charming back-waters of Kerala.
Day 5 Kumarakom – Kochi Airport
When in Kerala, a backwater ride in a shikhara is an absolute must. See the scenic views of the backwaters through the narrow canals all morning. Enjoy a scrumptious lunch and head to the airport where your trip concludes.
For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
