Highlights:   Pamir is a remote area, with isolated villages and rare wildlife, and little has changed here in centuries. We travel through some of the most incredible landscapes you are ever likely to see, following the border with Afghanistan to Khorog – tantalizingly close across the river Panj. Our trip takes us to long abandoned Silk Road fortresses and Buddhist remains, a legacy of the region’s position on strategic trade routes, and we meet local people along the way. A challenging journey through an enigmatic region – exciting is an understatement.


Day 1:  Dushanbe – Khorog.  (610km, 12-14h drive)     Altitude: 800m ↑     Meeting the guests at the airport, loading the luggage and start driving towards Pamirs. En route visit of Norak water reservoir. Long day drive but sightseeing of both sides of Panj river. Overnight in guesthouse in Khorog. L/D


Day 2 :  Khorog – Yamchun  (240km – 1 - 2 h, Trek 3-4 h)  Altitude: 2200m ↑  Sight seeing of Khorog. Botanical garden –the second highest in the world, souvenir shops and start driving upstream of Panj river to Wakhan valley. If our visit happens on Saturday, we will visit one of the most famous tajik – afghan bazaar in Afghanistan territory, near the bridge in Ishkashim.  We stop to observe the Darshay canyon and ancient shrine and make a 3-4 h trekking to Darshay gorge with ancient handmade mountain paths which are still used by locals. After we drive to relax in famous hot springs of Bibi Fatima and visit the fort of Yamchun III-I B. C - one of the most important fortifications belonged to Zoroastrian worshippers.. Overnight in guesthouse in Yamchun. B/L/D.


Day 3 : Yamchun – Langar. (60 km – 5 - 6h, Trek-1-2 h)   Altitude: 3600m ↑     This morning we start with sightseeing of Yamchun fortress III-I B. C and enjoy the view to all Wakhan valley. We spend all day exploring the mysterious Wakhan corridor. We visit Solar calendar and House museum of Sufi –Muborak. After we visit the Buddhist Stuppa dated back to IV century. Trek to ancient petroglyphs 1200m higher Langar. Overnight in Langar. B/L/D


Day 4 : Langar – Bulunkul  (110 km – 5 - 6h, Trek-1-2 h)   Altitude: 3735m ↑    Today our journey take us over Kargush pass 4344m to Military Camp in Kargush and after formalities drive along Pamir river to Bulunkul valley. We will make a short stop to observe all Wakhan valley from birds fly altitude and carry on driving the serpentines. After, we drive down to visit the most beautiful alpine lake of pamirs – Yashilkul lake. Good chance of trying the delicious fish of the lakes. Overnight in local homestay in Langar. B/L/D.


Day 5 : Bulunkul – Murghab  . (240 km - 3 h,)  Altitude: 3566m ↑    After, continue the journey to Murghab 3633m.through Pamirs plato – the roof of the world thru picturesque Alichur valley. Murgab is located in a valley at about 3,000 m above sea level and surrounded by high peaks.. At night the clear view of the Milky Way is unparalleled. Accommodation in homestay. Overnight in homestay in Murghab. B/L/D.

Day 6 : Murghab – Karakul – Osh. (480 km, 6 - 8 h)  Altitude: 4655m ↑  Start of journey to Karakul lake which at 3,915 m is too high to support aquatic life. Drive from Murgab over Ak-Baital Pass (The White Horse Pass 4655m).The highest section of road in the former USSR... We drive towards Tajikistan - Kyrgyzstan border enjoying the views of Lenin peak (7,134 m) which dominates over the area. End of tajik section at Kyzyl Art pass (4,280 m) which forms the border with Tajikistan. Border formalities and drive down to Osh. Meals: B/L/D. 


Day 7: Osh.   Altitude: 600m   Transfer to hotel. Our service ends with transfer to airport.
