Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent
Arrive in Tashkent. You will be met by driver and transferred to the hotel. Check in to the hotel at noon. Meet your guide to start Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan tour with sightseeing in the capital and the biggest city in Central Asia. Visit Old City part of Tashkent with Khast-Imam complex where the world famous Quran of Caliph Uthman – Ottoman has been preserved. In Khast-Imam visit Madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tillya Sheykh Mosque, Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari. Explore Chorsu Bazaar. Then take a ride on Tashkent Metro to the city center to walk through Amir Timur Square, Independence Square and Applied Arts Museum. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva
Early morning transfer to the airport for flight to Urgench (1093 km, 1 h 40 min). Arrival in Urgench, transfer to the hotel in Khiva (30 km, 35 min). Later proceed for guided walking sightseeing tour in Itchan-Kala, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit Mukhammad Aminkhan madrasah, Mukhammad Rakhimkhan madrasah, Kalta-Minor, Juma Mosque, Tash-Khovli Palace, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, Kunya-Ark, minaret of Islam-Khoja. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Khiva – Kunya-Urgench – Dashoguz – Darwaza
In the morning drive to Turkmenistan border point Shavat-Dashoguz (60 km, 1 h). Go through border formalities on both checkpoints. Cross the 1.5 km neutral zone (transportation may not be available). Meet your Turkmenistan guide and drive to Kunya-Urgench (100 km, 1 h 30 min). Visit mausoleums of Turabek Khanum, Sultan Tekesh, Sultan Il-Arslan, Najmuddin-Kubra, Sultan Ali. Discover the Kutlug-Timur Minaret and Kyrk Molla Hill.In the afternoon drive to Darvaza gas crater located in the middle of Karakym desert (8 km across sand dunes). Arrive at the crater, set up the camp. Enjoy a delicious fire-cooked meal for dinner near the burning gas crater. Overnight in yurt / tents.

Day 4 Darvaza - Ashgabat
Breakfast on spot.

Drive to Ashgabat having lunch there.
Visiting Nisa (III c) Parthia capital inhabited till the 19c. Diggings have revealed a grandiose architectural complex consisting of ceremonial hall, treasure house and residences. UNESCO cultural heritage
Visiting Nohur village in the Kopet Dag Mountains (visit tribal cemetery and pilgrim site; silk weaving homes), with visit of Turkmenbashi Mosque-Mausoleum, Gokdepe Mosque and Kov Ata underground lake ( has water temperature 36 degrees round year) on the way.  Overnight at hotel, in Serdar

Day 5 Serdar - Yangikala
Breakfast at the hotel, At 08.30 Departure to Balkan region to visit Yangykala mountains one of the beautiful mountains in Turkmenistan.
Picnic dinner with barbeque & vegetables cooked on an open fire (included). Overnight at Gozli Ata comfortable rooms with matrasses and blankets

Day 6: Yangikala - Turkmenbashi - Ashgabat
Breakfast (included). Drive to Turkmenbashi. Free time in the afternoon sightseeing in Turkmenbashi. Visit fish bazaar, Gate of Central Asia, Awaza beach area. Transfer to train station for an overnight train to Ashgabat.

Day 7 Ashgabat - Mary - Turkmenabat
Upon arrival in Ashgabat drive to Mary (370 km, 4-5 hours). En route visit Anau Mosque remains and pilgrim site and Abiverd urban Silk Road remains on the way. Arrive in Merv. Sightseeing Merv, an ancient city that was a major center of international trade and crafts located on the Silk Road. Afternoon visit History museum of region. Discover historical park with Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum, Large and Small Gyz Gala, ErkGala, Gyaur Gala, Keshk Fortresses, and others. Transfer to th hotel (wifi available. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Turkmenabat - Bukhara
Depart to Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan border point (45 km, 1 h). Go through border formalities on both checkpoints. Cross the 1.5 km neutral zone (transportation may not be available). Meet your driver and continue to Bukhara (100 km, 1 h 30 min). Arrival in Bukhara, check in to the hotel. Enjoy a walking sightseeing tour with a guide in Old City. Visit Lyabi-Khauz Complex, Magoki-Attori mosque, Chor-Minor madrasah, trade domes, Kalyan mosque and minaret and Miri-Arab madrasah, madrasah of Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan, Ark Fortress, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Samani dynasty Mausoleum and Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Bukhara – Samarkand
Continue sightseeing tour with a guide. Drive out of the city to Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa – the summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir. Head to the Mausoleum of Bakhouddin Naqshbandi and Chor-Bakr Necropolis. In the afternoon depart to Samarkand (280 km, 4 h). Stop on the way at Caravanserai Rabat-i-Malik dating back to 11th century. Arrive in Samarkand late in the afternoon, check in to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.


Day 10: Samarkand
Meet your guide and driver at hotel lobby and start sightseeing. Visit spectacular Registan Square, remains of Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar, Ulugbek Observatory, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis and Gur-Emir Mausoleum – the mausoleum of Amir Timur. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Samarkand – Tashkent
Check-out from the hotel till noon. Continue city tour: visit Afrasiab museum and the tomb of Saint Daniel. Then drive to Konigil village to explore traditional way of making Samarkand paper from mulberry. Enjoy free time with car and driver at your disposal after sightseeing tour. At 16:00 transfer to railway station to take the high-speed train, Afrosiyob, departing to Tashkent at 17:00 (300 km). Scheduled arrival time is 19:10. Pick-up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12: Tashkent – departure
Check out from the hotel at noon. Free time until transfer to Tashkent International Airport. Departure. End of the tour.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
