Day 1 (Ulaanbaatar)
Arrive at Chinggis Khaan international airport. Meet up with the local guide and transfer to the hotel. Time allowing transfer to the garage, getting to know the bikes. Safety training. Test drive. Welcome dinner in one of the centrally located restaurants. Overnight at the hotel
Day 2 (Erdenedalai soum)
On our first trip day, we will ride out of Ulaanbaatar on a pavement road to countryside. On our way we will be riding on dirt tracks to get familliar. Dirt track condition is good where we can accelerate.Erdenedalai soum is located 278 km South of Ulaanbaatar and is a home to some old monasteries and beautiful scenery. We will ride as far as we can go for the day and locate a suitable place to build our tented camp. Overnight in tents
Day 3 (Bulgan soum)
Travel some 270 km South, passing through the Ongy steppe with a possible stop at ancient Ongy monastery. Today our camp site will be at the famous Flaming Cliffs, named by famous American explorer of the early 20th century Roy Chapman Andrews. His Central Asiatic Expedition has discovered first dinosaur eggs. Until now many people from around the world come to this place to enjoy its beauty and pay homage to a place where modern day paleo embryology has started. Overnight in tents
Day 4 (Khongor sand dunes)
Today we ride roughly 140 km to Khongoryn sand dunes. While the Gobi is one of the greatest deserts of the world there are not many stretches of sand one can find. Hongoryn sand dunes stretch for almost 100 km and at its widest part is 12 km. Highest dunes reach upwards over 300 meters. Also they are referred to as the Singings Dunes or Duut Mankhan in Mongolian for distinctive sounds they make when someone slides down on them. In the afternoon, we ride over the biggest sand dunes in Mongolia. Overnight at a local tourist camp.
Day 5 (Tsogt Ovoo)
Today we turn around and head back to Ulaanbaatar. However most of the day we shall ride Eastbound through some challenging terrain to reach Tsogt Ovoo in the evening. Today’s distance to be covered is 281 km. We will be riding through the biggest national park of Mongolia – Gobigurvansaikhan and will be exploring some of the most beautiful valleys of a mountain range bearing the same name as the park. Overnight in tents.
Day 6 (Baga Gazriin Chuluu)
After breakfast we will ride North on sandy dirt roads for 276 km to reach a landmark called Baga Gazriin Chuluu. The smaller mountains with granite rocks form the most amazing scenery and are well known in the country. In the 17th century some of the early Buddhist monks have established one of their retreat and meditation centers. Overnight in tents.
Day 7 (Ulaanbaatar)
On the last day of our journey we will ride to Ulaanbaatar for 251 km and enjoy the evening with cold beer. Free time to explore the city on your own. Farewell dinner and overnight
For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
