Overview
The tour takes 24 days to cover one of the best travel destinations including Gobi desert ancient homeland of Dinosaurs Bayanzag ‘flaming cliffs’, and Khongor sand dunes 'singing sands' and El Valley 'ice canyon' and Mongolian ancient capital Kharkhorin city and Mongolian biggest Buddhist monastery Erdenezuu, unique beautiful Hot spring and waterfalls. Bayan-Olgii is a unique place in Mongolia, home of the Kazakh ethnic group. The Kazakhs have a rich culture, close extended families, and many traditions that are still practiced today that are centuries old. Kazakh is the language of everyday communication, Islam is the primary religion of the Kazakhs. The Altai Tavan Bogd National Park is the most visited park in western Mongolia with a wide variety of activities. Mountain climbing is best during the summer, Malchin Orgil “Herder Peak” at 4025m, can be hiked by novices

Day1. Ulaanbaatar- Baga Gazriin Chuluu (granite stone)

After breakfast, we will drive to Baga Gazriin Chuluu National Park. Baga Gazriin Stone,15 km long and 10 km wide stone massif. This stone massif also involved in the Mongolian granite stone zone. There are also over 20 kinds of medical herbs like burnet, many kinds of world rare animals like marmot, ibex and mountain sheep. Stay overnight Ger guesthouse. B,L,D.

Day2. Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa)

After breakfast, our next destination is a Tsagaan Suvarga, It is interesting to see the sheer slope, which from the cliff is 30 meters high and 100 meters wide. Over 10 million years the wind has created this amazing structure. Stay overnight Ger guesthouse. B,L,D.

Day3. Yol Valley (ice canyon)

After breakfast, we will drive to Yol Valley ( Three Beautiful National Park). This is a beautiful deep canyon with many rocky cliffs and it has been created by many years of water erosion. The canyon keeps some ice until August. Stay overnight Ger guesthouse. B,L,D.

Day4. Khongor sand dunes (ride a camel)

After breakfast, today our destination is a Khongor sand dune. This is one of the biggest sand massifs in Mongolia, which covers 180 km long 27 km of widest. The incredible roaring sounds of distant dunes are an unforgettable experience, particularly during the quiet hours of darkness and daybreak. In the evening climb to the dunes going down with sand sled. Sand dunes on the top super nice surrounded area sunshine panorama of sand dunes. Stay overnight Ger guesthouse. B,L,D.

Day5. Khongor sand dunes (free of relaxing)

After breakfast, camels are saddled and we will ride a camel hour after relaxing few hours and short hiking to Seruun Bulag oasis by the sand dunes of Khongor Els.  Stay overnight Ger guesthouse. B,L,D.

Day6. Tsagaan Agui Bayanlig town (archaeological white cave)

After breakfast, we will drive to Tsgaan Agui (cave) Bayanlig town. Tsagaan Agui (White Cave) once housed Stone Age people beginning approximately 700.000 years ago. According to researchers, its crystal-lined inner chamber was a holy site for these inhabitants as well as a pilgrimage spot for historical period Buddhists. Stay overnight place is a small town in a local hotel or nearby Tsagaan agui tent. B,L,D.

Day7. Buun Tsagaan Nuur Bayan Khongor

After breakfast, our next destination is a Buun Tsagaan Nuur. Buun Tsagaan Lake, the biggest tectonic and residual lake from a group of lakes. The lake longest is 24 km and the widest is 19 km. The shore of the lake has sandy soil and its south shore is around 10 m high. 45600 square km area has been registered in Ramsar Convention for protecting birds. Many species of migratory birds gather around Buun Tsgaan Lake, Stay overnight tent border of the lake. B,L,D.

Day8. Gobi-Altai province

After breakfast, we will drive to Gobi Altai province. This province is situated in the western part of Mongolia. On the way, we will see Sutai Khairkhan. The highest among them is Sutai peak clad in eternal snow at 13.865 feet (4,226 m) above sea level. Afterward, keep going to Gobi-Altai province. Stay overnight Province hotel. B,L,D.

Day9. Tsambagarav mountain Kazakh hunting family (snow-capped). After breakfast, we will drive to Tsamba-Garav mountain. Tsambagarav Mountain is a part of the Mongolian Altai Range and is located on the border between Bayan-Ulgii and Khovd provinces. Start today we'll see western Mongolian landscape, snow-covered mountains, and Kazakh nomads lifestyle. This day we will stay tonight Kazakh family who has a hunting eagle in order to see their lifestyle and culture. Stay overnight Kazakh family. B,L,D.

Day10. Bayan-Ulgii province

After breakfast, we will drive to Bayan-Ulgii province. Stay here we will visit Bayan-Ulgii province a national museum. This three-story museum provides a great starting point for trips through Bayan-Ulgii with displays on local culture, history, and nature. The top floor offers displays of local tribal culture and life, as well as a full-size Kazakh Ger with photo opportunities. The second floor provides a brief look at the local history, especially the Communist era from 1924 to 1991. Stay overnight Kazakh national Ger. B, L, D.

Day11. Drive to Tsagaan Gol (white river) Shiveet Khairkhan mountain (Gate of Altai Tavan Bogd).

After breakfast, we will drive to Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain is one of the sacred mountains of the Altai Mountain range. Shiveet Khairkhan Mountian is rich with archaeological remains from the Bronze and Iron ages. It is estimated that 400 ibex live here. Stay tonight a tent. B,L,D.

Day12. Altai Tavan Bogd National Park  (horse riding glacier ride). After breakfast, we will start the exhilarating horseback pack trip. We trek for 12 km today to the National Park Base camp at the foot of the magnificent Altai Tavan Bogd Glaciers. The Glacier is at the foot of Khuiten Peak 4374 m the highest point in Mongolia. Stay overnight in a tent. B,L,D.

Day13. Altai Tavan Bogd National Park (hiking up to Malchin Peak 4037m).

After breakfast, we will be prepared hiking up to Malchin Peak. Malchin Peak is one of five holey peaks of Tavan Bogd Mountain. Its top elevation of 4.050 m. Malchin peak is only one peak that can be climbed on its very top without any climbing equipment. Stay overnight in tent around Malchin Peak. B,L,D.

Day14. Back to drive Bayan-Ulgii province

After breakfast, back to Bayan-Ulgii province. Today our dinner is especially Kazakh cuisine is Kazy. Kazy a traditional sausage-like food. Stay overnight Kazakh national Ger. B, L, D.

Day15. Achit Lake

After breakfast, today our next destination is a Achit lake. This lake is surrounded by high mountains caused by tectonic movement. Achit lake basin is flat with shallow water. Achit Lake registered in attachment to Ramsar’s Convention in 2004. Stay overnight tent around lake. B,L,D.

Day16. Khyargas Lake

After breakfast, keep going to Khyargas lake. Khyargas lake, the 4th biggest lake in Mongolia, During summertime, this lake is a very good place for swimming and sunbathing. A group of wonderful rocky cliffs with 20-25 m relative altitudes, called Khetsuu Khad , are on the southeast shore and some of them look like islands that give a wonderful view. Many birds gather in these rocky cliffs. Stay overnight Ger guesthouse. B,L,D.

Day17. Bayan Nuur Lake ( Sant-Margad soum center)

After breakfast, our next destination is a Bayan Nuur (Lake). This beautiful freshwater lake is located at the north of the Bor Khyariin Els sand dune, with a 59 km shoreline (36 miles). Bayan Lake has many fish and otter can be found here. Apart from water birds, the lake is the home of many species of animals and plants. Bayan Lake is called “Khungii Khar Nuur”by local residents. Stay overnight local small hotel. B,L,D.

Day18. Tosontsengel soum ( overnight place)

After breakfast, we will drive to Tosontsengel soum. On the way can see Telmen Lake. Environment of the lake is like a Gobi and has full bushes and short trees. Swan Goose breeds at the side, Saker Falcon and Crane has been recorded on migration. The lake supports an assemblage of species restricted to the Eurasian steppe and desert biome. Stay overnight normal local hotel. B,L,D.

Day19. Terkh White Lake & Khorgo volcano

After breakfast, we will drive to Khorgo Dormant Volcano is the youngest volcano in Mongolia. Khorgo volcano is the only one that has no soil somewhere and no water inside the crater because Khorgo exploded much later that those volcanos. Terkh White Lake 16 km long from west to east and 6 km wide from north to south. The lake 10 species of fish such as Taimen, perch, lenok, and pike and including swan, shelduck, duck, gull, common heron and great white egret gather here. You can go short  hiking a lake. Day20. Terkh White Lake & Khorgo volcano ( horse riding)

After breakfast, today we will ride a horse couple of hours here to explore big volcano crater area. Horse trip on the way will be visiting Shar Nohoin tam deep depression in granite surface with 10-15 m deep and 30 m diameter. Stay overnight Ger guesthouse. B,L,D.

Day21. Tsenkher hot spring

After breakfast, we will drive to Tsenkher Natural Hot Spring. Arkhangai province is famous for its many old volcanoes. These volcanoes explain the presence of the springs natural hot water that flows all year long at 1860 meters (1.16 mile) above the sea level and its water is not mixed with soil waters because it is hot. They transfer the hot water via tubes from  and built some pools. Curative water and amazing nature featured by wooden mountains make this an excellent place for relaxing. Night bath is great. Sitting in the pool drinking while seeing stars at the dark sky is one of the favorite activity in here. Stay overnight tourist camp. B,L,D.

Day22. Orkhon waterfall

After breakfast, we will driving to Orkhon waterfall. The waterfall formed by combination volcanic eruption and earthquakes some 20000 years ago cascades down from a h 27 meters. You can go hiking around. Stay overnight Ger guesthouse. B,L,D.

Day23. Ancient capital Kharakhorum & Erdenezuu Monastery

After breakfast guesthouse, Our last destination is a Kharakorum city & Erdenezuu monastery. The most prominent historical site in Orkhon Valley is Kharkhorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol empire. The Karakorum, founded in 1220 by Chinggis khan, was not only the capital of the vast Mongolian Empire. Avtaisan khan founded of the first Mongolian Buddhist temple Erdenezuu. The monastery built-in 1586. Arrival in the village, we will visit the museum of Karakorum and afterward, also we will visit the magnificent and the oldest Buddhist Monastery complex of Erdenezuu. Stay overnight Ger guesthouse. B,L,D. Today our dinner is a Khorkhog (Mongolian national food).

Day24. Back to  Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, we will going back to Ulaanbaatar city. On the way shortstop in Elsen Tasarkhai. These dunes are also known as Elsentasarkhai or Khugnu Tarniiin Els. Larch and birch trees spread on the north of the top. Along the riverbanks, you can find wicker and black alder trees with Asp and some bushy trees hidden in talus rocks and glens. Stay in Ulaanbaatar hotel or guesthouse. B, L

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
