Mastchoh valley to Yagnob valley. This is a pioneer trekking expedition in upper Zerafshan valley. Being part of the Pamir-Alay mountain system Zeravshan mounatin range boasts with Alp-like views of high and low peaks.
The trek starts from from the village of Pakhshiv of Mastchoh region in upper Zeravshan valley end ends in Navobod village of the remote Yagnob valley. There will be 2 major passes along the route - Pakhshif Pass at 3700m and Sangi Malik Pass at 4060m. The approximate trekking distance is 90km, which will be walked in 7-8 days.The trek will be led by Mastchoh conservancy rangers who have done this trail before. All the eqipment on the trek is provided including tents, sleeping bags and donkeys to carry luggage and food.
With the aim of tourism development in community-based wildlife conservancies we are selling this expedition at a cost price and require participants to write a trip report and leave feedbacks upon the completion of the trip.
Please note that only experienced trekkers who are physically fit can participate in this expedition.
Apart from amazing landscape views, it is possible to meet a lot of wildlife on this trip, including Asiatic Ibex, Lynx, Snow Leopard and Brown Bears as well as many bird species.
Day 1: Dushanbe to Iskanderkul lake. Explore the lake and other sights around. Overnight in a guesthouse
Day 2: Iskanderkul lake to Mastchoh region. Overnight in homestay
Day 3-10: Trekking in Zeravshan mountains with community-based conservancy rangers
Day 11: Transfer from Yagnob valley to Varzob resort. Rest after the trek in a Varzob Dacha near the river.
Day 12: Transfer to Dushanbe. End of trip.
For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
