Day by Day Program 

Day 1.  ALMATY

Arrival to Almaty and meeting at the airport

Transfer to the hotel.

17:30 Check in the Hotel and Rest.   

20:00 Dinner in Indian restaurant.

22:00 Accommodation in the hotel.

 

Day 2. ALMATY – MEDEO – CITY TOUR in ALMATY

08:00 - 09:00 Breakfast.  

09:30 Excursion to Medeo Ski Resort, City tour: Panfilov Park, Zenkov cathedral, Green Bazar. Central State Museum, 

14:00 Time for lunch by your own

15:30 Afternoon excursion to Kok Tebe Mountain by cable car:

20:00 Dinner in Indian restaurant 

 

Day 3: ALMATY – BISHKEK BY ROAD (250 km, 4 hrs)

08 – 09:30 Breakfast.

09:30 Your guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer to Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) by road 250 km (4 hrs).

13:30 Arrival to Bishkek and check – in the hotel. Freshen-up.

14:30 Time for lunch by their own

15:30 The second half of the day is dedicated to a guided tour of Bishkek. It includes visiting Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic, and many others places of interest.

20:00 Dinner in local restaurant.

22:00 Back to the hotel and overnight in Bishkek.

 

Day 4: BISHKEK – ISSYK-KUL LAKE (270 km, 4-5 hrs)

08:00-08:30 Breakfast in the hotel – Check out

09:00 – Today you will be transferred to Issyk-Kul lake along the North side of the celestial Issyk Kul Lake, the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608 m above sea level). Its length is 180 km and it is 60 km wide. The lake is called "the pearl of Central Asia". For more than 1 500 years’ local people considered the lake to be a sacred one. Thanks to the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative qualities. On the way, we will take a short break to give you the opportunity to visit ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). These petroglyphs were made more than 2000 years ago by shamans.

10:00 – On route to the gorge you will visit Burana Tower (an 11th century minaret) and an open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors). After an interesting excursion and climbing on the top of the tower continue drive to Issyk-Kul lake

14:30 – Arrival to Issyk-Kul lake

15:00 – 1-hour Boating excursion on the lake

16:00 – Excursion to Culture Complex «Rukh Ordo» which is a unique open-air museum on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul and open air petroglyphs museum in Cholpon-Ata

17:30 –  Check-in the Resort and time to have a rest.

21:00 – Dinner in local restaurant.

Overnight in Issyk-Kul lake.

 

Day 5: Issyk Kul lake – Grigorievskoye – Semenovskoye – Karakol (190 km, 4 hrs)

08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast

09:30 In the morning you will drive to the most beautiful gorges of the lake named Grigorievskoye and Semenovskoye. These two picturesque gorges are connected at the end. It means you will start driving in at one gorge and will drive out through the other one! While journeying from one gorge to another you will see yurts and we will stop many times to have a rest and to enjoy Mother Nature. Then we continue our way along the northern shore of the lake to the town of Karakol.

13:00 Arrival in Karakol and time for lunch by your own

14:00 Check-in the hotel and after You will visit the Dungan mosque. One of its highlights is the fact that it was built in a Chinese style without using a single metal nail. The mosque will be followed by a visit to an old wooden Orthodox Church.  Visit of the Museum named after Russian Explorer and Geographer Prejevalskiy.

20:00 Dinner in local restaurant.

22:00 Back to the hotel and night is spent in a guesthouse.

 

Day 6: Karakol – Altin Arashan – Karakol 

08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast

09:30 Meet with 4 WD Russian Military Jeep’s driver to drive to the Altin Arashan Gorge (“Golden Spa”) gorge is one of the most famous gorges in Karakol because of the Tian-Shan fir trees that grow everywhere there.  This place is staring point of the most famous and crowded Classic hiking route to Ala Kol Lake and loved place of trekkers and hikers with small Thermal Hot Springs allocated along the River.

You will have a picnic in the incredibly beautiful gorge. Afterwards you will have 1 hour for hiking in the gorge.

16:00 Transferred back to the town Karakol. Freshen up and rest in Guest House.

20:00 Dinner in local restaurant

22:00 Night is in a guesthouse.

 

Day 7: Karakol – Jeti Oguz – Almaluu (South Issyk-Kul lake), 175 km, 4 hrs 

08:00 – 09:00 Today we will drive to Jeti Oguz gorge, 35 km far from Karakol. It’s famous for its red rock formations that are called the Seven Bulls – Jeti Oguz. Also you will see Broken Heart Mountain. We will take as many photos there as you’d like and if you want it is possible to walk to the top of a mountain (20 minutes) to see a panoramic view of the gorge and water fall hidden in mountains! There are yurts in the gorge and people can offer you Kumis to drink. It is a national drink that is made from fermented mare’s milk, and it is mildly alcoholic.

13:00 Lunch in local traditional nomad’s Yurt Camp

14:30 Continue the way to Almaluu traditional Yurt Camp located on the beach side of South Issyk-Kul shore. The place is virgin without any construction infrastructure, untouched wild nature with cleanest beach side to relax and enjoy time on the beach.

20:00 Dinner in the traditional Yurt Camp

22:00 Overnight in nomadic felt dwellings, Yurt Camps.


Day 8: Almaluu – Issyk Kul southern shore – Bishkek, 225 km, 4 hrs 

08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast

09:00 Today we will drive to Bishkek. This time we will drive along the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. This is a great chance to see the whole lake from all sights. We will have a break in Bokonbaeva village, where we meet a local eagle-hunter. He hunts hares and foxes with the help of eagles (traditional way of nomads hunting).

13:00 Lunch in Eagle Hunter Family.

14:30 Continue the way to Bishkek.

18:00 Arrive to hotel and rets.

20:00 Dinner in local restaurant.

22:00 Overnight in Bishkek hotel.

 

Day 9: Bishkek – Airport

Breakfast, Free time by your own. Afternoon transfer to the Airport in Bishkek for flight Home.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
