Day trip to Big Almaty Lake from Almaty, Kazakhstan

Big Alma-Ata lake is the hallmark of Almaty. This is the closest of the most beautiful and interesting places in the vicinity of our city.

 

Available at any time of the year, on all sides surrounded by mountain peaks, the peak of Councils (4317 m), the peak of the Lake (4110 m) and Peak Tourist (3954 m).

The road to the lake is quite difficult and requires experienced driving. Most of the path is the rise of a winding gravel road.

 

Big Alma Ata lake is located in the Ile-Alatau National Park, two hours away from Almaty. The program includes an ascent to an altitude of 3300 meters above sea level with a magnificent panorama of the mountains, the lake and the city.
