Day 1 – City touring with Monastery and National Museum (Sep 28)

Pick you up from Chinggis Khan international airport and transfer to the hotel. City touring with Gandan monastery and Mongolian National Museum.

Day 2 – Terelj National Park (Sep 29)

After breakfast start a drive to Terelj National Park, lying in the valley of the Terelj River 80 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, Terelj national park has long been a holiday resort for people from the capital and short – stay tourists. It is one of the most visited areas in Mongolia due to its magnificent scenery and its proximity to Ulaanbaatar. 

The park's most spectacular features are its huge granite blocks and cliffs as well as meadows rich in wild flowers. Terelj offers fascinating rock formations including two famous formations named for things they resemble Turtle Rock (Mongolian: Melkhii Khad) and small meditation temple on top of the hill with great view. 

After breakfast, we have horseback riding activity. And then we will visit to “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. Then we will back to the city, get our dinner during the Mongolian live song.

Day 3 (Sep 30)

Flight to Olgii province. Stay at local hotel. City touring.

Day 4, 5 (Oct 1, 2)

GOLDEN EAGLE FESTIVAL. Local hotel. 

The festival begins with eagle hunters’ parade and each hunter displaying the hunting outfits and elaborate, beautifully adorned accessories. Later, the hunting eagles are evaluated for their skills. This event represents the very essence of the culture of nomadic Kazakhs and if you like to have once-in-life experience. 

During this festival there is many traditional Kazakh besides eagle hunting:

- Buskashi: goat skin pulling game

- Kiz Kuar: chasing game on horseback between men and girls.

- Tenge ilu: picking up coins from the ground

And after festival you will visit to the Eagle hunter`s family.

Day 6 (Oct 3) City nghtlife

Flight back to UB city. Transfer to the hotel. Shopping and free day in UB. Cultural performance show. At the night you will enjoy the night life of the UB city.

Day 7 – Elsen Tasarkhai Sand (Semi Gobi), Kharkhorin city and Erdenzuu Monastery

After breakfast, we will drive to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes which is a semi desert typed beautiful landscape with big sand dunes. On the way, we will have our lunch. And then we have camel riding activity before dinner. After dinner, we will hike around the sand dunes. We can possibly see the sunset brilliantly in the area. After breakfast, we will drive to Kharkhorin which was a capital city of Mongolia in 13th century for 30 years, located in northwestern part of Uvurkhangai province of Mongolia. On the way stop, we will get our lunch with the open space of Mongolian countryside.

After that we will visit to one of the Mongolian most attractive monasteries Erdenezuu, it is locates in Kharkhorin City. The Erdenezuu monastery is the most ancient survived Buddhist monastery. The Erdenezuu monastery was built in 1585 by Abtai Sain Khan. After big day we will back to the city.

Day 8 (Oct 4)

Transfer to airport and departure.
