This trip is famous and totally different with mixed between city life and country life which is most of travelers` traveling places and most of beautiful places which are includes Ulaanbaatar city touring (Terelj National Park, Chinggis Khan Statue, Gandan Monastery and National Museums) and Altai Mountains (Tavan Bogd Mountains, Khoton Khurgan Lakes, Eagle Hunting, Trekking, Horse Riding etc.) Alright, let`s see the following itinerary:
Day 1 - City touring with Monastery and National Museum
Pick you up from Chinggis Khan international airport and transfer to the hotel. City touring with Gandan monastery and Mongolian National Museums and we will enjoy the night life of the city.
Day 2 – Terelj National Park and Chinggis Khan Statue
After breakfast start a drive to Terelj National Park, lying in the valley of the Terelj River 80 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, Terelj national park has long been a holiday resort for people from the capital and short – stay tourists. It is one of the most visited areas in Mongolia due to its magnificent scenery and its proximity to Ulaanbaatar. The park's most spectacular features are its huge granite blocks and cliffs as well as meadows rich in wild flowers. Terelj National Park offers fascinating rock formations including two famous formations named for things they resemble Turtle Rock (Mongolian: Melkhii Khad) and small meditation temple on top of the hill with great view. And then we will visit to “Genghis Khan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. There is a recreation area, restaurants, and souvenir shops occupy the base structure. Then we will back to the city, get our dinner during the Mongolian live song.
Day 3 – Fly to Olgii and drive to White River Camp
Give you ride to the Airport of Ulaanbaatar and pick you up from the airport of Olgii, Bayan-Olgii province. Same day drive to the gate of Altai Tavan Bogd national park which is named “Tsagaan gol” means “White river” also it is approximately 8 hours’ drive from Olgii to there. On the way stop, you will see ancient stones from Turkic period and do camping along white river valley.
Day 4 – Potanin Glacier /long about 20 km/
After kind of nomadic breakfast, we start horse riding towards Tavan Bogd massif which is more than 4000m higher from Tsagaan gol camp, it takes approximately 7 hours from the camp to there. And near by the mountains we see approximately 20 km Potanin Glacier. And remember camels are carrying our luggage and we riding horses/trekking in the wild green nature, sounds like real nomadic right? We will camp nearby the Tavan Bogd Mountains.
Day 5 - Altai Mountains /Malchin peak 4,050m/
Big day, imagine that you are hiking to the Mongolia`s 3th highest peak which is approximately 4050M and on the Russia, China and Kazakhstan border. After that big day, take your rest, you made it.
Day 6 – Tuvan Nomadic Family
Time to back to the Tsagaan gol camp while horse riding/trekking, do relaxing around visit the yurt of local Tuvan family and try Nomadic drinks. Tuvan language is different, but pretty close with both Kazakh and Mongolian languages. Their traditional clothes and gers looks like Mongolian. By the way, our guide will teach you Mongolian Card game, you will enjoy and play this game.
Day 7 – Nearby Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain
After breakfast we continue our trekking/horse riding into the Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain. The scene of Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain is very beautiful with snowcapped high peaks. We would set up our camp right into there. At the night, I can`t explain the beautiful thousand stars view of Shiveet Khairkhan mountain. It`s really amazing and unbelievable.
Day 8 – Pass to the Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain, into the Aksu Valley
We start with steep pass, mostly there would be snow on the pass. After the pass we will go downhill to the Aksu valley. On the way you will see some beautiful amazing waterfalls nearby the China Border. And we will camp right there into the Aksu Valley, by the way Aksu means White River which is continued a long river from the way we came. It's a beautiful spot, in a wide valley.
Day 9 – Kazakh Nomadic Family
We will move to nearby the most beautiful lakes of the Olgii, right there you will discover Kazakh Nomadic Family`s lifestyle, and would enjoy the they`re drinks and friendly things.
Day 10 – Petroglyph and Khoton, Khurgan Lakes
As I mentioned above, we will move to most beautiful lakes and camp right there. This day you will enjoy the beautiful lakes view, at the night you can call the lakes as a Moon lake since it is pretty amazing with the moon. On the way, you will see petroglyph, ancient rock images from Bronze and Turkic age.
Day 11 – Eagle hunter`s family
Alright, time to see most famous, most incredible thing which is 6,000 thousand years of alive tradition. This day we will visit to the Eagle hunter`s family, see the Eagle, even you can touch it. You will be busy with photographing and question, answers in relation to Eagle Hunting Traditional. And we will spent our night nearby the Eagle hunter`s family.
Day 12 - Waterfall
This day we will see beautiful waterfalls. We start to drive another side of the lake where is beautiful valley with pure running river and beautiful waterfalls. You will do hiking through nomads to the waterfalls. While short hiking, you will enjoy it and do camping near by the waterfall.
Day 13 – Drive back to Olgii
Time to drive back to Olgii, it takes approximately 7 hours’ drive. Arriving in Olgii, after a hot shower, we will see Kazakh folk concert at the camp and a goodbye party.
Day 14 – Farewell to Olgii and Departure to UB
The sad day. After the breakfast, our team give you ride to the Olgii airport. Once we arrive, we'll be transferred to Hotel. But remember that you have choice to book another tour from our tour package. We can service all of tour in Mongolia. At the city, some Mongolian Cultural shows are available.
Day 15 –Get transferred to Ulaanbaatar airport
After breakfast our team will give ride to airport.

Remember: During the summer time eagles are not for hunting so you can just visit the Eagle Hunter and see some training activities with Eagle, also try it by yourself.
