Khinalig-Galakhudat Hiking tour (1 Day)

Description: We will not only walk on the foothills of Great Caucasian Mountains but also, explore unique culture and life style of the local people.

Khinalig is a small mountain village situated in 2200+m. Altitude in Gudialchai valley surrounded by Tufandag 4191m, its age is more than 5,000 years. This is the highest and most isolated settlement in the Greater Caucasus mountain range, located on the border with Dagestan, 63 km from Quba. Its residents numbering about 2,000 still retain unique cultural traditions, speak their own language and wear their own traditional clothes.

Galahudat village situated 2200+ m. İn the foothills of Gizilgaya plateau `s steep rocks, a bit away from Guba – Khinalig road/ The village has saved its antiquity. It is the only village near around that its people are azerbaijani turks.

 

Tour plan:

∣      Setting out from your hotel at 8:00 AM with airconditioned car

∣      After reaching Khinalig village we will take 15 min. break and start to hike to Galakhudat village. (10+km)

∣      Lunch in the local’s house in Galakhudat village (Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required)

∣      Walking down to the car (2 km)

∣      Driving to the Baku.

∣      Arriving to hotel around 8:00 PM

 

FOOD

We will have a lunch in the local’s house at 16:00
