Secret Colonial Past - Shanghai Tour

In this tour, we will visit the former British Police Station in the 1920s, now the prison cells and offices shelter low-income residents living in a Roman Coliseum-looking square-shaped compound, 5 story buildings surround a spacious courtyard in the middle which house over 250 families.
Heading to the biggest Slaughterhouse in 1930s. It’s hard to believe this gorgeous Escheresque building is located in the historic Hongkou District, this eerie Art-deco architectural achievement in concrete, glass, and steel, was originally intended for herding cows to their doom.
In the end of the tour, we will come to the former Astor House Hotel which the first western hotel in China, and visit the General Post Office which was built in 1924 with an interesting mix of European styles of architecture.
*Program is 4hrs. We will walk, and use public transport.
