Day 1. Ulaanbaatar, capital city of Mongolia
Arrive to Ulaanbaatar, capital city of Mongolia. At the airport you will be picked up with our tour guides and the drivers then transfer to your Hotel in UB. After check in from hotel your guide will do quick introduction about the trip itinerary for the upcoming days. Depending from your arrival time to UB city we will do city tour. Overnight at hotel. (lunch, dinner)
Day 2. Visiting the famous 13th Century Museum
Today we drive to Erdene village to visit the 13th century complex. The “13th Century” complex has the environment of tourism attractions, ger camps, farms, statues and traditional entertainment areas, all in real lifestyle of 13th century era. Within this country, the rule of the law is strong and there is no television, electricity and phones are allowed for the real experience as the purpose of the 13th Century theme park is built and established in real time micro kingdom of the 13th Century to make the real experiences for the tourists during their stay by genuinely providing true environment of the way of living. This is the only camp in Mongolia where you can visit the old time micro kingdom of Chinggis Khaan and his empire. Currently, there are six different camps and tribes that provide the above-mentioned services to the customers and they are: RELAY-STATION CAMP, CRAFTSMEN CAMP, EDUCATIONAL CAMP, HERDER’S CAMP, SHAMAN’S CAMP and KING’S PALACE. By the evening we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar and stay at the hotel in UB. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 3. Chinggis Khan equestrian statue and Terelj National Park
Today we will drive towards Terelj National Park and on the way we visit to Chinggis Khan equestrian statue at Tsonjin Boldog. Chinggis Khan equestrian statue is a 40-metre tall statue of Chinggis Khan on horseback, on the bank of the Tuul river at Tsonjin Boldog,(54 km east of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar), where according to legend, he found a golden whip. The statue is symbolically pointed east towards his birthplace. At the evening the group will arrive to the destination place, Terelj. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 4. Day hike at Terelj National park area
Gorkhi-Terelj National park is considered one of the most beautiful worth visiting places for travelers who wanted to rest in surroundings near UB. If you like adventure activities such as hiking, horse or camel riding and visiting nomad family and stay overnight in traditional Ger(yurt) dwelling within short period, this is the real place to fulfill your wishes. At the evening drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5. Flight to Western Mongolia
Catch an early flight to Bayan-Ulgii province. Bayan-Ulgii is the home place for the Mongolian Kazakh people who have the nomadic life style and keeping their ancient tradition of Hunt with Golden Eagles. Arrive to Ulgii city and transfer to hotel.
Day 6. Eagle Festival
Meet the Kazakh Eagle-hunters. Almost 80% of the eagle-hunters in the world lives here in Mongolia. The eagle-hunters from around regions gather to test their finely trained birds in singular contests of speed and agility in these few days. During the festival we also see some Kazakh Traditional Games such as: Horse racing, Pick up coins on Horseback, Wrestling and others. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7. Nauryz Festival( Lunar New Year Festival of the Turkic people)
Nauryz is one of the oldest holidays on Earth. This holiday of spring and the renewed life of the Earth has been celebrated for over five thousand years by many cultures of the Middle and Central Asia. This holiday has been celebrated on 22 March, the day of the spring equinox. That's why the Kazakhs call the month of March “Nauryz”. It was celebrated as the day of the renewed life which comes with the spring. It was the day when the first spring thunder strikes, buds are swelling on the trees and vegetation grows wildly. On the night before the festival, all vessels in the house would be filled with milk, airan (plain yogurt), grain, and spring water because it meant that people would have a lot of milk, good yield and plenty of rain during the coming year. During the day, everybody tried to be in good spirits, would give a big hug to each other and wish good fortune and happiness to others. The celebration always included mass games, traditional horse races, wrestling and other competitions. Nowadays, it has become a truly national holiday of spring, work and unity. The ancient holiday of Nauryz has naturally become a part of the modern life, preserving the old traditions.
Overnight with the nomadic family. For the dinner you will be served special traditional food “Besbarmak”, boiled meat(mostly mutton).
Day 8. Visiting the Eagle Hunter’s family.
Today we will visit Kazakh eagle-hunters family. See the magnificent eagles and learn about eagle-hunting. Eagle-hunters typically use female birds because they are bigger, stronger, and more aggressive than their male counterparts. Hunters typically keep their birds for 10 years before releasing them back into the wild. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9. Flight back to Ulaanbaatar.
Catch a flight to Ulaanbaatar. Today we will explore the new modern capital city of Mongolia. Before the lunch we visit National History museum and Gandan Monastery in UB. After lunch it’s free time or shopping.
Day 10. Departure.
NOTE: If there is two person then my price is $1980 per person. And if one pax then $2200 USD
Include: Domestic flights, transportation within Mongolia, hotel in Ulaanbaatar and Ulgii city, all the overnight Gers and tents, three meals a day, English or Chinese speaking guide, cook, renting of riding horses or camels, support staff including drivers, all Border and National park permits. Possible to help with some visa problems.
Do not include: International transportation, travel insurance, visas, departure tax, alcoholic drinks, gratuities, items of a personal nature.
