The main activity will be organized in Jol-borluk jailoo (translated as “the way of wolves”) Itinerary: Osh-Sary Tash-Kara Kul-Murghab-JolBorluk- and back to Osh. (or you can continue to Dushanbe via the Wakhan Corrdor!)

• Car (4WD Landcruiser) with English English and Russian speaking driver, fuel, km. Mineral water. Arrival/departure and all transfers according to the program
• Demonstration of traditional activity (local bread & meals making, carpet making, milking yaks) (the price of camel riding/horse riding will be charged separately, is not included in our price).
Requirements: Trekking boots as well as light shoes, sleeping bag, weatherproof warm clothes, hat, gloves, sunscreen and sunglasses.
Description: Visit summer pasture (we call it Jailoo) to see and join ethnic Kyrgyz traditional and nomads’ life. Spend the day walking or horseback/donkey riding. Rest near cold, clear streams, or join the shepherds as they follow their flocks of sheep, yak and goats across the expansive landscape. Test yourself making a traditional carpet, baking local bread and milking yaks. Ride a yak, horse and donkey. Sleep in a yurt. Visit Afghan market, hot springs in Wakhan Corridor! That would be the most enjoyable activity and experience in your life.
Day 1. Early transfer from Osh stop for short break in Sary-Tash, continue drive to Kara-Kul, have a lunch and have a walk around the lake Kara-Kul, pass the highest Akbaital Pass (4655m) take pictures, drive to Murghab. Overnight in the homestay in Murghab.
Day 2. Morning visit local bazaar in Murghab. Have a lunch at local yurt café with traditional meals. After the lunch drive from Murghab to Jol borluk jailoo. Views at this jailoo are amazing. You may see yaks, sheep and old tombs on the way. You may also see the top of Mustak Ata peak (7509m) from the side of Rang-Kul village. A trail in the gorge takes you up to the hill where you will have a stunning view of great pastures. Descend the hill and cross the river to arrive at the pasture. Observe and experience the daily routine of nomads. Walk right up to the hills around jailoo and visit yurts. The day you arrive you join women making local bread. Bread will be made in a special local oven called “kazan”. Lunch in the yurt with fresh butter and bread. Overnight in the yurt.
a) Breakfast. Second activity will be started very early in the morning, you see how locals milk yaks and sheep. Then you join in milking the yaks, special boots and apron will be provided if needed.
b) After milking you boil and drink fresh yak milk together with families, then you separate milk with the help of separator to get the butter. It’s the most delicious local butter. We call it “kaymak”
c) After lunch you may have a walk or donkey ride, horse and camel riding will be organized in this jailoo. You may visit by horse/donkey/yak to another neighbor jailoos just for fun. The last activity is making a local carpet. It’s a funny and amazing activity. In Kyrgyz language the carpet is called “kiyiz”. It also will be a very good physical training for you. You may take small local carpet with you which you made by yourself. It's time for picnic with traditional meal. Return to Murghab, overnight in homestay.
Day 4. Early in the morning it’s time to leave for Ishkashim (Wakhan Corridor)! On the way stop at Alichur for lunch with fresh fried fish! Drive to Langar through Yashil-Kul and Bulun-Kul. Overnught in Pamiri house in Ishkashim.
Day 5. Visit Afghan market. Hot Springs! Overnight in homestay in Khorog.
Day 6. Visit Museum, Botanical Garden. Drive to Kalay Kumb. Overnight in Kalay Kumb.
Day 7. Drive to Dushanbe. Free day. Have a Farewell dinner. Overnight in homestay.
Day 8. Transfer to airport. Departure.

For a confirmed booking, a deposit of (10%) is required. Deposit is paid by credit card (secure payment via Stripe, no credit card fees). The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon start of the trip - unless Host & Traveler agree on different payment methods.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 30 days prior to the beginning of the booked service. The deposit (10%) is only refundable if the booking is canceled at least 30 days in advance.
