Tamgaly petroglyphs Tour - Day Trip Almaty

Tamgaly - one of the oldest and most striking monuments of rock art Semirechie. Most of the petroglyphs date back to the Bronze Age. Mysterious civilization disappeared before reaching the present day, but has left us more than 4,000 drawings, in which our ancestors have mapped your life and outlook. 

We leave Almaty in the western direction at 7-8 am. The road takes about 2 hours in one direction. The road passes through villages and towns. Such as Uzynagash, Chemolgan, Kaskelen and others. On the way we will drive through many fields planted with cabbage, sugar beet, raspberries, watermelons, grapes.Along the way we will see several typical Kazakh seasonal farms.

Strolling through the territory of the national park, be prepared for unfatiguing climbs to ancient drawings. Comfortable shoes are required, and long-sleeved clothing in hot weather. A walking part to petroglyphs usually takes about 2 hours. Lunch is organized on site in special gazebos. For lunch it is better to take lunchboxes.
