On the way to the Saty village near of the lakes there will be an amazing change of landscapes. First, at the foot of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains there are juicy and green meadows, fields, gardens and forests. And moving away to the east it will be replaced by the dry mountains of Soget with desert areas, the Kokpek gorge, the valley of the Charyn river. And then again plunge near the Saty village into a riot of vegetation and rivers.
In Kaindy gorge, a unique farm was built in our region. They breed Angus cows there. It is famous for its special "marble" meat. Deliveries of this meat are mainly abroad and to luxury restaurants and hotels in Kazakhstan. Movement along the gorge directly to the lake passes along a gravel road, where we cross the river twice by car. On the way there is a lot of sea buckthorn, barberry, raspberry. And also we pass the famous birch grove of Russian birch trees.
On the beautiful Kolsay lake you can go boating and try to swim in a cold mountain water.
On the way we can see farm animals horses, sheeps, cows. Wild animals and birds like golden eagles, jerboa, partridge and etc.
For the walking through the canyon You should be ready it can be really hot there during the summer days. I suggest to have long sleeve clothes and suncream.
