Lake Kaiyndy - lakes Kolsai 1, 2 - Charyn canyon (3 days)

Lake Kaiyndy -national park Kolsay lakes (Almaty region)

Lake Kaiyndy - a truly amazing example of the creation of nature. It is located among a huge coniferous forest at an altitude of more than 2000 thousand meters above sea level. It was formed by a landslide of a huge accumulation of limestone, as well as subsidence of the soil. The lake is quite large and very full: in the deepest places more than 30 meters. Once in its place grew trees, now they are in the middle of the lake, giving it an already extraordinary appearance.

"Kaiyndy", in Kazakh means birch. Unique views of the lake are harmoniously combined with birches and needles growing in the gorge. His views do not like it. Especially beautiful landscapes open from the ridge of the skalnik: so you can admire the gorge of Kaindy, Sata, view the valley of the Chilik river. If you are planning to make an excursion to the water and natural expanses, a better option than a trip to the Kaindy's excursion is difficult to come up with.

Trout is found in the river Kaiyndy (Kayyndy), below the lake. In summer, the average air temperature reaches the mark of +23 degrees, and the water +6.

The lake is located among coniferous forests at an altitude of 1667 meters above sea level in one of the gorges of Kungei Alatau. The length of the lake is about 400 meters. Its depth is almost 21 meters. The lake is surrounded by scree-shaped rocky slopes and steep cliffs. Above the lake is a rocky impasse.

Kolsay lakes -national park Kolsay lakes (Almaty region)

Kolsai lakes (Kulsay) are a system of three lakes in the northern Tien Shan, in the Kolsai gorge, in a jumper connecting the Kungei-Alatau and Zailiisky Alatau ridges. The lakes are located in the territory of Raiymbek district of Almaty region of Kazakhstan and are located 10 km north of the border with Kyrgyzstan, 330 km southeast of Almaty at an altitude of 1000 m, 2500 m, 2700 m above sea level.

Lakes are called "the pearl of the Northern Tien Shan". The lakes of the Tien-Shan Spruce are surrounded by lakes. The depth of the lakes reaches 50 m. Among the fauna - rainbow trout.

Kolsai lakes include 3 lakes:

The third lake is at an altitude of 1818 m, its length is 1 km, the width is 400 m, the depth is 80 m.

The average (second) Kolsai Lake (Mynzhylgy) is at an altitude of 2252, the largest of the three lakes.

The first Kolsay lake or the Upper Kolsai - at an altitude of 2850 m.

The one who is lucky enough to visit these places, will never forget their splendor, silence and tranquility around. When the water surface is absolutely calm, it reflects the sky and the enchanting panorama of the mountain landscape.

On the coast there are guest houses that always open their doors to lovers of nature, who want to enjoy crystal clear lakes, in the waters of which unattainable peaks and mountain slopes covered by giant Tien-Shan firs are reflected.

Charyn Canyon -Eco-park (Almaty region)

Canyon charyn is located on the territory of the Charyn National Park, created with the purpose of preserving natural and geological objects. The National Park was established on February 23, 2004. On the territory of the park there is a large number of rare and endangered species of animals listed in the Red Book. The most famous attraction of the park is Canyon Charyn. It is a picturesque natural place, which strikes with its unearthly landscapes. The depth of the canyon is 200 m. The height of the sheer mountains of the canyon reaches 150-300 m. The canyon itself is a natural monument, built of sedimentary rocks, the age of which reaches 12 million years. The landscapes here are truly amazing. At sunset, when the sun goes beyond the horizon, the canyon Charyn is painted in scarlet, pink and orange colors. Around the silence and only from below you can hear how the violent streams of the Charyn river beat against the steep cliffs. This spectacle will not leave anyone indifferent.

One of the sights of the canyon is the so-called Valley of Castles - these rock formations resemble the shape of towers, which were as if created by unknown giants. The valley of the castles is more than 2 km long, and the width in different places reaches from 20 to 80 m.
