Marvelous Uzbekistan 10 Days

-Tour itinerary: Tashkent – Samarkand – Bukhara – Khiva- Urgench- Muynak – Aral Sea – Tashkent- Charvak-Tashkent

Day 1: (… - TASHKENT)

 Arrival in Tashkent. You will be met by  driver and transferred to the hotel. Rest at the hotel after arrival. Free time. Tour discussion. Dinner.

Day 2: (TASHKENT)

Breakfast at the hotel. We start our tour from Tashkent metro (the oldest one in Central Asia) then we visit to Amir Timur Square, Independence Square and Applied Arts Museum After that we visit to old city part of Tashkent to local Chorsu - oriental market (handicraft bazaar) where we have lunch . After rest we continue our tour to Khast-Imam’s famous mosques like Tillya-Sheykh Mosque, Madrasah of Barak-Khan, and Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel

Day 3: (TASHKENT – SAMARKAND)

After breakfast we transfer to the railway station at 07:00 am. Departure to Samarkand at 8:00 am. “Afrasiab” (300 km) and arrive in Samarkand at 10:10 am. You will be met by AST guide and driver.  We start our Samarkand tour by visiting to Shahi-Zinda necropolis, Siyab Bazar and Bibi Khanum mosque. Lunch at local chayxana. After rest we visit to Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Registan Square, Ulugbek observatory. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel. 

 

 Day 4: (SAMARKAND – BUKHARA) 

After breakfast we visit to Afrasiab Museum and the Tomb of Saint Daniel. Transfer to Bukhara (280 km) Arrival to Bukhara.  Hotel (check in time at 13:00). Lunch. Sightseeing tour in Bukhara: Citadel Ark, Minaret Kalon, Kalon mosque. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Bukhara.

 Day 5: (BUKHARA)  

Breakfast.  Today we visit to the Bakhouddin Nakshband mausoleum, Emir’s Summer Residence Sitorai Mohi-Khosa, memorial necropolis Chor Bakr, Madrassah Miri-Arab, Amir- Alim-Khan Madrassah, Taqi (trading domes), and Kukeldash Madrassah. After lunch and rest you will see Lyab-i-Hauz, Nadir Divanbegi, Magoki Attari, Ulug Beg, Abdul Aziz Madrassahs as well as Registan Ensemble, Ark Fortress and Bolo-Hauz complex.  Overnight in Bukhara. 

 Day 6: (BUKHARA – KHIVA) 

Breakfast. Transfer to the Khiva. Road takes about 4 hours. On the way you can discover Kyzlkum deser. We arrive to Khiva. Hotel check-in.  After rest we start sightseeing tour of UNESCO World Heritage site Kunya-Ark fortress, including Kurinish Khana ; Mohammed-Amin-Khan Madrassah, Islam Khodja MinaretPalvan-Kari complexAbdu Al Bobo complex ; Rafanek MadrassahMohammed Rakim Khan , Amir-Tur Madrassah, Sho-I-Kalandar Bobo Mausoleum. Lunch at a local cafe . After rest we continue our tour to the Mausoleum Pakhlavan Makhmud;The Tosh Khovli "The Stone palace", the Madrasa of Kuli Khan, Arab Mohammed Khan Madrassahs. Dinner at a local restaurant . Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: (KHIVA- NUKUS) 

After breakfast transfer to Nukus and we start  tour by visiting to the Savitsky Karakalpakstan Art Museum. The museum hosts the world's second largest collection of Russian avant-garde art and exposition of Karakalpak applied arts items. Afternoon we spend our free time by taking a walk in the city center to see the statue of Karakalpak poet Berdakh, Nukus City Hall, and Drama Theatre. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 8: Nukus – Kungrad – Usturt Plateau – Sudochie Lake – Aral Sea (450 km, 8 hrs)

 Early departure from Nukus (optional time 8 am.), to the Ustyurt Plateau and Aral sea through Kungrad district  to discover one of trading centers of the Silk Road. Then we move to the lake Sudochie for having lunch.  After rest we visit to former Light house and fishermen’s house and stop to take pictures of gorgeous Canyon. Finally we reach to the Aral Sea. Having enjoyed from peaceful panorama we begin  a short hike around  the old caravan sarai  to  Kurganch-Kala. Nice dinner. Overnight at the tent.    

Day 9: Aral Sea – Muynak – Mizdakhan – Gyaur-Kala – Nukus  Early in the morning we see the Sun rising over the desert.  Amazing.  After breakfast we transfer to Muynak settlement which is known as “cemetery of ships” nowadays. Lunch at the guest house in Muynak. Then we visit to the local museum, Ships graveyard. We drive to Khodjeyli to visit Mizdakhan architectural complex (XV ct.) and Gyaur Kala ruins which was destroyed by Chingiz-khan. Arrival to Nukus Transfer to local airport. Departure to Tashkent. Arrive in Tashkent. Transfer to hotel.

Day 10:Tashkent-Chimgan( Charvak)-Tashkent

Departure from Tashkent to mountain village Chimgan (H = 1500 m, L = 90 km, T = 1 h. 30 m.). We start our trekking in a good path toward to Gulkam canyon through Pesochnyi (Sandy) pass (Н = 1830 m; Т = 40 min).  The saddle offers a panoramic view on Chimgansai river valley, Kyzyljar (Red Precipice), ski resort and Chimgan village. After an hour of descent you reach to picturesque glade surrounded by birch-trees.  Further downstream one can see a narrow entrance to the Gulkam Canyon – one of the most beautiful places in Western Tian-Shan. Lunch. After 2 hours walking we reach to the green meadow where we have rest and enjoy from the majestic view of Vadaprovod waterfall. After few hours hiking we reach to Gulkamsay River and meet   10 meter waterfall in 7 metres wide. Leaving the gorge behind, proceed down Gulkamsai River along a scenic canyon, crossing the stream several times, wading through the water.  On your left you will see a spring gushing from under the rock.  We return to Tashkent (L=110km; T=1hr 20min) via Yangikurgan and Yusupkhona villages and Charvak water
