5 Days Trekking in CHimgan Mountain

 Uzbekistan Mountains are one of the best destinations for travelers all over the world with its high-mountain passes, alpine pastures, rivers and savage gorges. Here mountains are full of wild apple trees and mountain cherries, dog-roses, yellow ferules, tulips and blackberry bushes and many other represents of fauna and flora.

 Ugam-Chatkal National Park in Western Tianshan (Celestial Mountains") is quick access to mountain which is 60 miles away from Tashkent city which is famous with popular mountain skiing resorts like "Chimgan" and "Beldersay" and Charvak high-mountain reservoir. So hereis one of the most popular trekking in the National Parak.

1 Day. Early departure from Tashkent to the valley Kumishkan (L=65km; T=1h.).  We start our trekking by crossing to the left bank of Shaukatsa (H=1370m). Ascent continues about two hours till Shaukattau(H=2120m)where you can enjoy from majestic view of surrounded mountains and valleys. After lunch and rest we go down to the Parkensai. Having crossed the river on the top of the first hill we put our first day camp.

2 Day.  After breakfast we move toward to the mountain Surenata (H=2000m). Today’s hiking offers full of fauna and flora. We go though the Kumishkan valley on a good path. Lunch near the small spring. After rest we start ascent to the top of Surenata where opens 360 degree of panorama.  Then we go down to the valley Gidjal. Camping near the small lake (H=1410m).

3 Day. After breakfast we walk down to Aksakata river and we cross the bridge (Н=1000м) and go towards to Marble Line (remains of ancient sea) then go up to Mount Kokbel where we have lunch..  After going up to Kokbel(Н=1800м) we have a short break. Then we continue going up to Maygashkan (H=2350m) where opens marvelous view of surrounded mountains and valleys. Camping.

4 Day. Early in the morning after several hours hiking we reach to hydrometstation to the top of Kumbel ridge (H=2250) where appears nice panorama of great big Chimgan and Beldersay and Nurekata valleys. We have rest there. Then go down to the valley of the river Beldersay. Here you can enjoy with unique beauty of nature. We reach to Chet Kumbel (H=1870m) through the forest and have lunch near the small spring. Then  we start ascent to Beldersay rock carvings which takes about 4 hours. Close to rock carvings we put our camping.

 5 DayAfter breakfast we go down to the valley Beldersay which is followed by slide ascent to the pass UrtaKumbel (H=1830m) Lunch near the pass. On a good path we walk down to the meadow “Sunny” (H=1720m). After rest decent to Marble river and walk though the left bank of the river till Marble waterfall (H=1550m) which is 10 minutes walk from the road where we meet with our driver. Return to Tashkent (L=75=km; T=1h. 20 min).
