Tour to Ala-Archa, Burana, Issyk-Ata, Chunkurchak gorge

The Kyrgyz Republic is a unique beautiful mountainous country in Central Asia with pristine valleys, crystal clear mountain lakes and majestic mountain rivers. It is a magical land with a people known as the Kyrgyz and who have preserved their rich and diverse cultural heritage for decades.

During this tour in the capital city Bishkek you will explore its historical and modern parts. You will also be introduced with the beauty of nature and mountains.

The tour will give you a glimpse of what the Kyrgyz Republic is, once a traveller gets the taste of this beautiful country, they usually want to return to explore its other parts. You will visit city sightseeing places like Main and old squares, Parks, you can also visit museums, Burana Tower and National Park Ala-Archa. 

 

Day 1. Ala-Archa National Park

 

Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel. After check-in formalities, you will have some time for rest. After the breakfast, our guide will pick up you to start your first day in Kyrgyzstan adventures.  You will have the chance to witness the Eagle hunting demonstration and meet the berkutchi - hunter with golden eagle. You will learn about the nomadic tradition of hunting with the golden eagle, how it used to be and how it is going nowadays. Then you will visit Ala-Archa National Park.

The gorge with surrounding mountains is covered with junipers, rare species of animals and plants. You will hike (1,5 km) along the river to enjoy the picturesque landscapes and nature.

You can have the lunch in the cafe Ala-Archa (should be 1,5 hours pre-ordered) or you can have lunch on the way back at a local cafe.

Optional to visit Osh Bazaar - oriental bazaar, where you can buy souvenirs, local desserts and dry nuts and fruits.

Return to the hotel. Free time in the evening.

Day 2. Chunkurchak gorge

 After the breakfast at the hotel on the second day, another wonderful trip awaits you to one of the beautiful gorge Chong Kurchak. You will also visit Ethno-resort “Supara Chong Kurchak”. It’s a unique place where eye catches the fantastic valley, pine forest and majestic mountains. You will get acquainted with the inspiration behind the creation of this beautiful place and the features of Kyrgyz traditional yurts and stone houses.

You will have traditional lunch and experience the taste of delicious kyrgyz food.

Depends on the week day, you will be able to see the performance of the epic poem “Manas” or experience the local traditions of wearing elechek, swaddling and lulling a baby in a kyrgyz “beshik”.

You will plunge into the culture of the nomadic people and learn their traditions, lifestyle and customs.
Optional activities: horse riding, archery, during winter season - snow tubing.
Optional: to stay for overnight at the resort.

 Day 3. Burana tower and Issyk-Ata thermal springs

 After the breakfast on a third day, you will visit one of the sights of the Great Silk Road, recognized as Kyrgyzstan’s and UNESCO heritage - the Burana tower and the stone graves “Balbals”. Experience the feeling of being in an atmosphere of the 9-12th century and see firsthand the most ancient artefacts. Later you will take a ride to Issyk-Ata gorge and hot hydrogen sulfide springs, with the ancient image of Buddha. There you can taste mineral water called "Arashan", as well as swim in the hot thermal springs (private pool).

Lunch will be organised in a hotel near to the pool. We also recommend you to take snacks and swimming wear with a towel.
In the evening return to Bishkek. Rest in the hotel and transfer to the airport for departure early in the morning the next day.

Day 4. Bishkek

Transfer to airport for departure.
